I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Links

Direct Link to purchase TV: https://www.costco.com/sony-85%22...57292.html (goes in and out of stock).
Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

Is this the one that's getting 4k120 via firmware update? Is this model number just specific to Costco so they can avoid price matches? Is it an x900h in actuality?
Yes yes and yes

Doesn't look like it. Just posted link to full ad scan.
The 75" will be at the same price as the 2 days it was on prime day.

Just ordered, do I need to cancel if this is true?
If you dont believe me get on a chat with costco.com. If you think a warehouse will do it you are wrong online purchases have nothing to do with the website. No warehouse will adjust the price of something you bought online.

Just confirmed with sales rep, if its a black Friday sale they don't honor. But if just regular sale they will honor and adjust price

FYI, the only time of the year costco does not price adjust is that week. Every year I ask just in case and corporate and my store manager said the same no price adjustment on BF prices. We start our BF prices the Friday before, the 20th.
So I can only get a price adjustment if I buy it on the Friday before the 20th or do I have to buy it on the 20th?

So is this a black friday sale? Is it safe to order online and get the difference refunded in 24 days?

This sale is listed under "holiday savings" (nov 20 -30), as opposed to others under thanksgiving savings ( nov 27 - 30).... does that make it a non-black friday sale?

Wow what an awesome deal. I just got the 75" for $1569 deal a few weeks ago and just mounted it this weekend. Wife would kill me if I tell her I want to take this down repack return and get an 85" and mount back up! Maybe we should all be waiting for BF as these things are dropping in price quickly.

To me I see this as a holiday sale, not black Friday. So I reordered after I canceled the first time. Otherwise, can we just return if they don't honor??

Damn... my order thru GreenToe just shipped. Paid $2298. This Costco deal is REALLY good. I don't think they'll have much inventory available when sale hits
Same! I'm feeling a little sick to my stomach right now. I'd have waited for this one for sure if I knew about it two days ago.
