I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Direct Link to purchase TV: https://www.costco.com/sony-85%22...57292.html (goes in and out of stock).
Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

Hah. I also got the 75" on the 1570 sale. Wife saw me looking at this and gave me a hard no.

I ordered this tv on 9/11 from Costco and received it in 9/18. While the tv is good and I have not had any problems, I guess it will be too long of a time for me to do any price matching. Other than trying to return this huge thing and buying another, is there anyway I can get a price match?

FYI, the only time of the year costco does not price adjust is that week. Every year I ask just in case and corporate and my store manager said the same no price adjustment on BF prices. We start our BF prices the Friday before, the 20th.
Dumb policy considering I can just buy it again, and get Costco to pick up the one I bought before BF. More cost to Costco to not just price adjust.

FWIW, I bought this TV yesterday on costco.com before I knew about this promo. But for $650, you better f'n believe I'll force Costco to pick up the one I bough yesterday if they won't just do a price adjustment.

Invest in a tv that depreciates in value?? Lol ..

I don't see the "save and invest" for this deal. How is this saving or investing for 2k spent on tv.

I just spent a few already on real estate but still can't justify myself spending 2k on a tv
You're posting on a deal site about a purchase that depreciates? Dood, every goddamn thing you buy on SD depreciates. Last time I checked, you can't buy stock or houses on SD.

Your post reminded me one of my friends who wanted to(or talked about) buying a car, since the 80s, never did, because "cars" depreciates, he said. He still uses a cel someone gave him, no data.

How do you intend to get a price match? The price will be valid only on 11/20. They require 5 business days to make the adjustment, so if they refuse you would have not been able to take benefit of the warehouse sale either. If you call do they do it while you are on the call?

What lies? So far I haven't read a single comment on here on how bomb this tv is. Just stuff like how to game Costco price match. Still have no clue why this deal is so bomb.

$94.90 on sony a6000 that's bomb.
101$ on sony 1000xm3 from target is slick

Why is this one so slick? It's a genuine question
its due to WD40 integration. research it, learn it, live it.

Bought the 75 inch from Best Buy when it was on sale 2 weeks ago. Only thing keeping me from returning and buying this one is that I paid with a BB credit card and did 24 months no interest...fingers crossed that Best Buy will have the same deal for the 85 inch during BF.

Damn! Should have pulled the trigger and asked questions later.

Going into the warehouse tomorrow to see if they have it In stock. If they do I'll buy it making sure I can price adjust on the 20th.
I would verify with the price match first before purchase. I chat with a rep earlier and she said that it may be different in store

I don't think so. Price match policy is only 30 days.

You would literally have to return it (costco 90 day returns on TVs) and buy a new one. Not sure if you need the box to be able to return -- I would imagine you do.

I just ordered one of these a day or two ago and I'm counting on Costco price matching. If for some reason they give me flack, they'll get the TV back. I'll absolutely be keeping my tv's box for 90 days.

Anyone think the 85" x950h is worth $1100 more? My local theater guys say yes, but I'm not so sure.

I'm in I.T. and I see the comments about Wi-Fi dropping out... while it's a bummer and I'm sorry that's happening to your Tv.... in general best practice is not to count on Wi-Fi for devices that do streaming video. (Even if you have great Wi-Fi, the less devices you have on Wi-Fi the happier your network will be.) I suggest running ethernet to your tv.

Depends on how picky you are about image quality.

But if you're that picky about tv quality you should be getting OLED.
