I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Links

Direct Link to purchase TV: https://www.costco.com/sony-85%22...57292.html (goes in and out of stock).
Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

Hah. I also got the 75" on the 1570 sale. Wife saw me looking at this and gave me a hard no.

Any A8H 65" deal? I didn't pull the trigger on prime day deal and was hoping for better deal during BF...
They hit $1800 on a few recent expired deals. Hold out for $1700.

You're posting on a deal site about a purchase that depreciates? Dood, every goddamn thing you buy on SD depreciates. Last time I checked, you can't buy stock or houses on SD.
Legos go up in value here.

Bought the 75 inch from Best Buy when it was on sale 2 weeks ago. Only thing keeping me from returning and buying this one is that I paid with a BB credit card and did 24 months no interest...fingers crossed that Best Buy will have the same deal for the 85 inch during BF.
They will, but have habit of reducing inventory doing so.

Ordered mine last night around 11pm after seeing this deal. I chatted with someone who confirmed I could price match. Got an email at 1am to schedule delivery. Earliest delivery to me in NY was Nov 4 but I chose to have it delivered Nov 11 since I am off for Veterans day. Just a heads up for people wanting to know about availability.

Is this better then the LG 86" from Costco for watching sports?

Football on LG is horrible (grainy players) even in sports mode.

LG has great pics for movie and TV shows. Sports closeup is great but grainy when all players are on field.

WARNING! There is a MAJOR controversy going on right now with this TV. Apparently, it has an achilles heel in that Sony nerfed it for 120hz 4k gaming so one of its most prominent features is basically a scam. Controversy is on fire on the AVS forums starting about here: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/...8/page-406

I don't think this is a minor thing either after reading a dozen pages or so and may be a deal breaker for many.

Thanks for linking this thread.

Definitely appears to be a blurring issue with 4k 120hz content. The post below helps you see the huge difference in text clarity.

I ran into the same AVSforum thread yesterday night. There's also a rtings discussion thread on the topic of the 120hz blur issues on the X900H @ https://www.rtings.com/tv/discuss...z-blur-bug .

This really concerns me. 4K 120 was a primary driver for me ordering this particular set. Planning to pair it with my Xbox Series X preorder.

I'll third that. On my 2nd 65 in. First one worked fine for about a week then started requiring daily hard resets (power cord unplug for 2 minutes). Also had top corner vignetting, strobing, contrast, and gradient issues. On 2nd day of second unit with fingers crossed.
this issue is with deep sleep option for hard reset issue.
Just got kasa smartplug to power it off when not in use and powering back.

Anyone know a TV around 2500 dollars as good as this, maybe with true hdmi 2.1 at 85 inches?
