I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Direct Link to purchase TV: https://www.costco.com/sony-85%22...57292.html (goes in and out of stock).
Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

Hah. I also got the 75" on the 1570 sale. Wife saw me looking at this and gave me a hard no.

Yeah I saw about the issues and have been researching them. I'm just struggling to find a good alternative at 85" at a similar price point. Do you have a suggestion? (Genuinely asking.)

As for returning, would that mean literally having to pack it back up and taking it back to the store to return and then re-buying it? Or will costco let me do it all via receipt? (I'm a brand new costco member so I don't know how they do things.)
I am not sure if it is a hardware limitation/flaw or firmware issue. If it's a firmware issue, I won't worry too much because SONY will obviously fix it in a firmware update. Otherwise it will be a big concern to me.

If you had the Tv delivered to the house by Costco then they will pick it up as a return.

Don't you lose alot of picture quality with 4k 85in? Wouldn't 85inch be better with more pixels (8k)?

You will have to sit closer than 5.7 feet away from an 85" TV to notice a difference between 4K and a resolution higher than 4K; according to the attached Rtings chart.

Do you all have a Costco credit card or will use your regular card? I think with costco credit card only you will get 5 years warranty.

If you purchase a television using a Costco Anywhere Visa® Card for the transaction, the total warranty coverage is 7 years

I ran into the same AVSforum thread yesterday night. There's also a rtings discussion thread on the topic of the 120hz blur issues on the X900H @ https://www.rtings.com/tv/discuss...z-blur-bug .

This really concerns me. 4K 120 was a primary driver for me ordering this particular set. Planning to pair it with my Xbox Series X preorder.
If this was your primary driver I'd for sure abort. LG and Samsung would be better choices.

Also, I was the first to break the news about the blur issue in this thread and even posted a link to get the discussion started and not a single rep. What is happening to SD?

Most people on here don't even know about reps. I'll toss one your way, homie.

This monster is 130 lbs, will Costco delivery leave at the door or bring it upstairs in a two story home? Is extra white glove delivery for $20 worth it? Will this fit inside a minivan with seats folded down?

80 inches length and 48 inches height with box.

white glove delivery saves about 30 minutes time removing the box and fixing stands, will need another persons help.

if you are not wall mounting white glove delivery is recommended, no hassle they will setup and fix it.

Tip: TVs should always be transported standing upright to avoid screen damage. Laying the TV flat while transporting can cause screen excessive stress on the screen, especially if traveling on a rough road.
