I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

Hah. I also got the 75" on the 1570 sale. Wife saw me looking at this and gave me a hard no.

Great question. That is one thing I'm working on figuring out in my room. With that said I have helped someone mount this exact TV. If I remember correctly the mount holes on this TV are not centered height wise; they are low. So the TV does sit up higher than expected on the wall mount. I for sure don't want to have to look up at the thing.

I have the 86" 8570 in my living room and I am returning it in favor of this (unless the 120hz, 4k debacle is forever). The LG is a nice size, has webOS, eARC, HDMI 2.1 (a little neutered but still decent) and is perfectly fine but has poor black levels, too dim for great HDR, and is IPS so good viewing angles but poor contrast. If it is all you look at you'll like or even love it but if you see it besides this or a Samsung RU8000/TU9000 it is clearly inferior picture quality wise. One other plus is that it has pretty low reflectiveness on the screen. Much better than this one or the Samsungs, IMO.

That's actually a great value/size if you don't mind giving a bit on picture quality but like I said, you wouldn't even notice if it weren't for side by side comparison.
Coulda swore the 82 and 86 were VA panels. Odd as you describe what sounds like the downsides of an ips panel...are those your actual observation from the set you have?

Yeah, I guess it could be confusing the way I wrote it but green is the upside and the rest of the sentence is the downsides. Also, the 82" is the only VA panel in that LG series.

It used to be that 82 and 70 were VA panels. Did the 70s change to IPS?

I've never used Costco's white glove service before. Does it include wall mounting?

It doesn't include wall mounting. From white glove delivery description:

"This service does not include attachment to a mount such as a wall mount."

Any suggestions on inexpensive wall mount for this tv? I don't need full motion, just tilting down would be nice.

The page is gone when they don't have stock, but goes live again when they get stock. I saw in another post it's not searchable, but you can get to the page via the OP's link. I ordered last night and clicking the link now it's showing in stock.

EDIT: Just checked now at 11:59am EST and the page is gone again.

I helped someone mount this exact TV using this mount: https://www.mycablemart.com/store...ail&p=6767

That thing is rock solid and allows all the movement. Probably goes without saying but make sure you are hitting wall studs with this TV. Don't use those Sheetrock mounts. This TV is heavy.

My local costco verified that they will pricematch the 85" and the 75" ($1569) on 11/20. I would've went 85, but it wouldn't fit in my suv.

So if I am reading this right the lower VESA holes are slightly over 5 1/2 inches from the bottom. 140.5mm to be exact. Which put the upper holes at 21 1/4 or 540.5mm. The upper vesa mounting holes to the top of the TV are 21 1/2 or 547.8mm. Add those 3 up should equal the total height of the TV. Just over 43 1/4 or 1102.8mm. Sonys website put it at 43 1/3
Close enough for me to pre mount the wall mount.
