I am a Civil Engineer and I did the math for you:

$1970 85" version cost 63.8 cents per square inch of screen
$1599 75" version cost 66.5 cents per square inch of screen
$970 65" version cost 53.7 cents per square inch of screen

Therefore, the 75" version is the worst choice and actually cost more than the 85" version when looking at cost per square inch of screen

60 pages TLDR
Links

Direct Link to purchase TV: https://www.costco.com/sony-85%22...57292.html (goes in and out of stock).
Rtings.com review: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x900h (IMHO one of the best LED TV's out there)

Costco.com VS Costco Warehouses (physical stores)

Costco.com vs Costco Warehouses (physical stores) act as 2 different business units and will not price match if bought from the "other" store.

Costco.com

Costco.com Price Adjustment Page: https://customerservice.costco.co...l/a_id/628
30-day Price Adjustment
Multiple people have chatted/talked with customer support and have posted proof that orders will be price adjusted.
Multiple Costco.com orders even have the price adjustment already issued.
Free shipping

Costco Warehouses

Price adjustment seems to depend on the associate/store manager so YMMV.
The carton is a beast and DON'T LAY TV FLAT when transporting.

4K 120HZ Blur Issue

(11/13) Sony has acknowledged the blur issue and promised to address it: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254079
Here is the Sony support page: https://www.sony.com/electronics/...s/00254078

Hope this helps!

Hah. I also got the 75" on the 1570 sale. Wife saw me looking at this and gave me a hard no.

When will this thing be in stock online
Probably when the sale starts.. don't want everyone ordering ahead and not be available for the sale.
They temporarily ran out during the Labor Day sales.

I've been babysitting the link for a few days now and I finally got in on it just now. I'm not sure how long it'll be active though.

This Sony or the 86 LG for $1400 at Best Buy?
No question...the Sony. Saw a side by side comparison of the two at my local Costco earlier today

I hope they'll PM on the 20th even if they've run out of stock.

Wish I could say the same. They brought it into the front door and were like this is the most we will do. You must have gotten the wrong impression. I showed them the white glove conditions and they said no. Called Costco and they refunded me $20. Not a huge deal but was a little bummed about the situation.
It must be a regional thing depending upon where you're located. I sure hope that it won't be that way for me.

I just got my membership today and the credit card as well. With the deluxe membership, you pay 60 extra, but get a 60 gift card in 4-6 weeks and get an extra 2% back on purchases. So it cost me 120, but I'll get back almost 80 (2% cc + 2% dlx) plus the 60 gift card, so the membership cost me 40 and I get a 60 gift card.

I'm guessing they live in a liberal area. In my experience, they are more likely to be more paranoid and hysterical about Covid and use that as an excuse to do less.

I had mine delivered Friday and they seemed to want to do as little as possible trying to imply Covid as their angle. I twisted their arm to set it up but I may ask for a refund on that due to the effort I had to put forth to get them to do their job.
Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. I'm in the Philly area in NJ, hopefully they do their job. I need them to take it upstairs through a stairwell that is a little difficult to maneuver. Based on my measurements, it should be fine, and worst case I can remove the hand rails or they can unbox it first but I can imagine it would be easy for someone who is lazy to take one look and say no. Has anyone had any experience with the delivery people costco uses? will they unbox a TV first, then take it up the stairs?

Same here! I scheduled delivery far out enough to ensure the adjustment is made. Otherwise, I'll cancel this order and place another on the 20th.
