If you order online (Costco.com) yes, but there's no mention saying of warehouse price-match policy. I just repeated what the warehouse by my area told me when I called them a few mins ago, and that is that they will not price match the holiday savings deals.
The Holiday Savings ad says the price is available "IN-WAREHOUSE + ONLINE". Combine that with Costco's price protection/price match policy that states "Costco.com will gladly issue a credit for the difference between the price you paid and the promotional price, if your purchase was made online at Costco.com and was within 30 days prior to the change in price. Credits are typically issued within 5-7 business days.

Please note:
The special consideration for promotional pricing is for end consumers only. Resellers must purchase the item during the valid promotional dates to receive the promotional price.
If you purchased the item at a Costco warehouse location, please inquire at the membership counter at the Costco location where you made the purchase.
Costco does not price match with other retailers."

There is no valid reason for them not to make the adjustment.

Agree. If you buy it online through Costco.com, Store will not price match, you have to get it price matched online only.
Anyway it is better to buy it on Nov 20 to be safe.

This is not currently available online. Do we know if they will have additional stock available on the 20th? The local costco have some in their wearhouse but wont deliver. I would rather get this delivered...

Thata my dilemma too. How much is the 77 oled supposed to be on the 20th? Trying to decide if losing the size, but gaining pq is with it when it's going in a dedicated home theater...? I'm thinking since it's a dedicated home theater, the size is most important (which still a good picture quality).

If you do decide to go with oled, this or sony a9g (if hdmi 2.1 is not important to you)?
From what I read if you don't care about 2.1 the sony OLEDs are better in picture quality but a bit more expensive than LG. If sony had a 2.1 OLED I would buy that in a heartbeat.

I bought the cx77 but if this sony x900 is 95% the same and no gaming burn in for $1500 less I'll probably send the cx77 back

Do Costco sales typically start at midnight eastern time or something?

I don't want to miss out on this deal. Wondering when I need to be refreshing the website.

I would like to get this online. They're out of stock right now but I assume they'll come back in stock for the sale. I also assume they're going to sell out quickly and I want to grab one right away.

Does anyone know when exactly these Costco sales usually start? Is it 12am the 20th? So the evening of the 19th into the 20th, Thursday into Friday? Or during the day the 20th in the morning?

I guess I'll be refreshing, waiting for stock to come in.

Just adding more fuel to the debate. I went to Costco this morning and asked about price matching. They pull the supervisor over and according to her they will not be price matching any of those deals. Didn't matter if it was the pressure cooker or the TV. Still clear as mud!

Breaf'n yet more air onto the fire - just snagged one in Louisiana. Asked two people working in electronics and mentioned the debate and concern regarding Black Friday price matching. They adamantly stated so long as I had the receipt, price matching would be honored for 30 days - period. So maybe it's warehouse specific or just rampant mis or lack of communication internally. Guess we'll all find out soon enough. Either way I'm stoked to fire this chunker up

I'm guessing Costco Corporate will issue a memo to clear this up at some point. It doesn't work well for each location to have different rules.

I ordered online and originally scheduled delivery for the 21st and then changed my mind and had it delivered this past Saturday. So far, we are impressed by the TV, and this is just "out of the box" without any custom settings. I've been quite impressed with the speed of the OS. All the menus seen very quick compared to other smart TVs I've used.

I was a little disappointed that the Apple TV app isn't yet available for this TV, but it sounds like it will be soon enough. The app store says Apple TV isn't compatible with this version. Hopefully that changes soon.

A friend stopped by this weekend and helped me lift.... with our wives spotting in the middle (made my wife feel better, and it can't hurt if something goes wonky). Nothing went wonky because the EchoGear mount is excellent Smilie Unlike that Peerless mount that I had tried before it (which requires precise alignment mounting and unmounting the tv. The other wife didn't want to let go of the tv.... she was very worried about 85 inches and 100 pounds hanging on the wall Smilie (They have a Sony 75" from 2017 that sits on a cabinet)

I'll say again, I think putting this tv on an inexpensive articulating mount is crazy. It's massive and is $2000 down the drain if the mount lets go. The EchoGear mount glides like butter even with this beast hanging on it. (They claim to test their mounts for four times the weight that they are rated for.) It's $100 and well worth it. I considered the Sanus at Costco that is going on sale, but I studied their designs and function and I like the EchoGear better.

I screwed the mount in at the same position as the mount for the 65. Thinking that would be a good start for the 85. I knew in advance that Sony has the mounting holes positioned low on this tv but didn't realize quite how low. Crazy low. So the TV ended up about 11-12" inches off my cabinet when I wanted 8" I'll admit that I was hoping for more height range adjustment from the brackets. I think that might be a failing of the EchoGear EGLF2, but not sure, because this is the first time I've mounted a TV with this much offset on the Vesa mounts on the back. For now I'm leaving it and we're seeing how we feel about it. If we decide to change it the tv will have to come down and the mount moved down several inches on the wall. No biggie.

This TV is thick and I have to admit that, from the sides, it doesn't look awesome sticking out from the wall. I suspect that Sony had to make it this thick to give it FALD at an affordable price point. But I don't know that for sure and I'm sure some of you will push back and say blah blah TV does that and is thinner. I didn't buy this tv for being sleek. I bought it for being an amazing deal on 85" yet having Sony quality (as I've mentioned before this is my fourth Sony TV).

First impressions of the TV:

For context we sit 13 feet away, and the 85 is replacing the aforementioned Sony 65" and I'm used to the 75" at our friends and I have a friend with a 100" projector screen, and I thought I was prepared for 85" on our wall. But DAMN, it is a DOMINATING presence in the room. My wife joked "We have IMAX now!"

But the picture is worth it (after a good bit of tweaking). Everything we've watched so far has been streaming via Apple TV. (But I do have a 4k Blu-Ray player, but not a lot of 4k discs.) Actor's performances are so much more engaging at this scale.... We were watching the HBO show The Undoing last night and were getting totally sucked in. (Oh and I joyously discovered HBO Max app on Apple TV is doing 4k now! You can count every curl in Nicole Kidman's hair.)

Wonder Woman (via streaming from apple 4k dolby vision using standalone apple tv) looks the best I've seen it since I was in the theater opening weekend. And thank you Sony for Dolby Vision Dark and Dolby Vision Bright modes!!!! I had turned off dolby vision with the 65" because it was always too dark. The dark mode is perfect for night, and the bright is perfect for day. I found that the noise reduction modes really serious hurt picture detail and I've disabled them completely.

I'm glad that I waited until this point in time to get a TV this big. Our friends with the 75 have a faint wire line down the center of theirs that bugs them occasionally (sony gave them a new tv but it still has it). This 85 doesn't have that. And between the wealth of 4k content and the evolution of the video processing in the TVs, stuff looks really awesome. That is of course, when the content is awesome. Feed it mediocre content and you'll be disappointed.

A Minor criticism is that the bezel has a silver trim line around the perimeter that catches light coming in the windows. This has been an issue with all the Sony HDTVs I've had, and my solution has been to put matte finish scotch tape on the bezel. Probably doing that with this one, too.

I'm including some pictures. The TV is tilted down as far as the mount allows 15 degrees. I realize that the tv and the speakers and the cabinet are off center from each other. I was in a hurry to take the pictures before I noticed and fixed it. The TV looks unlevel, but it's not. It looks that way because it's turned a little on the articulating mount.
