Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.
It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).
Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.
I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.
Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.
Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

So the XV340CK is a non-curved monitor with 250 nits brightness which many complain is not enough brightness for a 2K monitor in the daytime. I have no issue with my XV340CK with it's 250 nits but will be upgrading for sure. The limited manufacturer warranty is also not great so the appeal of buying this monitor from Costco for any future issues is the biggest win this deal's got going for it. That and it is significantly lower in price than any 34" curved UWQHD monitor with these specs that I've seen in 2020 thus far.
Depending on your needs. The IPS panel is worth the $50 difference at this size for me since I mainly do spreadsheets and web surfing and only do some casual gaming so a flat screen works better for me. 250 nits is plenty bright for brightest room condition in my experience.

1) I wouldn't risk buying it now and get fukked with no price matching later. Just wait for a month.
2) Costco monitor policy is awesome. NOTE monitors fall under general "electronics" and NOT under computer or TV so technically, lifetime refund.
I bought a 32" HP Omen monitor 3 years ago and it finally died. I simply boxed it up , took it to my local store and they issued full store credit ($299 plus taxes). I walked out with the 32" Acer Nitro with $50 out of pocket.
Will give the Acer to my son and then get the ultrawide off this deal.
