Sure thing. Just spread some rep if you can Wink

Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.

It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).

Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.

I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.

Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

Order on Nov 1st so you can price adjust on Nov. 30th(Cyber Monday). 30 days for price adjustment for costco.com

I looked into this and general consensus is that this WILL NOT work. Most Costco employees online are saying they are told not to honor price adjustments for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and sales for items purchased beforehand. Of course, you can risk it but there isn't any guarantee you will get the price adjusted (most said if the item goes out of stock, Costco will definitely not price adjust).

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.

Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

Let the games begin

who else hit the trigger on these? hoping to either price match if not return within 30 days? how many did you get?

How does this compare to the AOC CU34G2X? I got 2x of those from Amazon, but having regret due to costco's excellent warranty ( 2+2 using citi card for purchasing).I also got that for $440 + tax...so at $340 and with costco warranty and return policy I think this makes it a no brainer

I'm debating picking this up now. I really don't feel like going into the store to look for a another one to return/re-buy if they won't price match though.

The other option if they will not price adjust is to buy is now, and then again on Cyber Monday. Then, just take back the one you bought now and get your money back. Just keep the receipt.

I'm not 100% but I think the other guy was right about lifetime. Monitors are not listed in the 90 day police

Direct quote

Electronics: Costco will accept returns within 90 days (from the date the member received the merchandise) for Televisions, Projectors, Major Appliances (refrigerators above 10 cu. ft., freezers, ranges, cooktops, over-the-range microwaves, dishwashers, water heaters, washers and dryers), Computers, Touchscreen Tablets, Smart Watches, Cameras, Aerial Cameras (drones), Camcorders, MP3 players and Cellular Phones (return details will vary by carrier service contract).
Our Costco Concierge Services representatives are available to assist with technical support and warranty information for many of the products above. You'll find a list of eligible items here.

https://customerservice.costco.co...-policy%3F
According to Costco customer service, monitors are not under the 90 day return policy, they are under the lifetime satisfaction policy. Note: Costco does not say it is lifetime, but it is, though they will start pushing back.

I am planning different setup now. Instead of investing that much on a single computer and having just 32" of screen, I am planning to use office kind of setup with two 24" monitors with this stand
https://www.amazon.com/WALI-Stand...B018MU3SAS
and cheapest 22" monitors also I see on costco site https://www.costco.com/acer-nitro...81498.html
I don't play games. It is just for office work. and 22" * 2 means 44" of screen space and just $89*2 + $35 = $205 approximately for both monitors and a stand.
that's now how the math works.. you'd need 4 to get 44" diagonal. To be precise, 3.5x to get the same screen viewable real estate as an 44" UW. And the 22" are only 1080p, so a lot less pixels.

21.5" viewable = 197.5in/sq
34" = 414in/sq
44" = 693in/sq

So, two of your 22" doesn't even quite equal this 34". Again, not accounting for resolution which makes the case even stronger for the 34":

1920x1080(x2)=4.14m pixels
3440x1440=4.95m pixels

I have yet to confirm with Costco if monitors fall under the 90 day electronics return policy or a different one. I'll ask next week when I'm in store. On their website, monitors are not listed specifically under the electronics return policy.

"Electronics: Costco will accept returns within 90 days (from the date the member received the merchandise) for Televisions, Projectors, Major Appliances (refrigerators above 10 cu. ft., freezers, ranges, cooktops, over-the-range microwaves, dishwashers, water heaters, washers and dryers), Computers, Touchscreen Tablets, Smart Watches, Cameras, Aerial Cameras (drones), Camcorders, MP3 players and Cellular Phones (return details will vary by carrier service contract)."

Coming to your points one by one.
Screen space: two 22" screen space is much larger then you will open two application by splitting the screen. Isnt it?
Resolution: 1080p is more than enough resolution on 22" monitors. In fact it is better than 2k on 34" unless 34" supports 4k.
Great setup.

Wrong. Computer monitor fall under General Electronics category. So, by lifetime, he means lifetime.

I just bought the Dell 32" at BB on Friday. Will go take a look at this and maybe buy it and return the Dell. Specs are so similar, but this has a 1ms vs 4ms on the dell.

Comparable at $219, but slower refresh rate.
That is a 1080 monitor. This one is 1440

That was the Acer Nitro and it is selling for $389. And it is not HDR 400 or Freesync Premium Pro!

and if you don't game and don't need 1ms response times you'll be fine right?
If you're using it without FreeSync it should work just fine.

I don't have costco membership and their site says $60 is the cheaper option meaning I'm only saving $40 all in.

Is there another option?

I am torn between ultra wide 34" QHD like this one versus 16:9 4k 32" for regular office work, no gaming at all.

I assume there are no ultra wide 34" 4k. Also I wonder if Macbook pro can push that much resolution easily.

I am leaning towards QHD that is in this deal but also want best of the best display, don't care about refresh rate or response time.
