The gigabyte is 320 nit panel..this acer is 400 nits but all other specs appear to be same.
Same as Gigabyte - this monitor is Native 320 Nits and Peak 400 straight form the Acer manual.

Got mine in today. This is the monitor to get. Sharp text, vibrant colors, calibrated out of the box (Not to photography standards, will do that later).

The gaming, oh the gaming! Played 2 hours of MW and it was a blast. I also play on the Dell 3220dgf.

But, for future games coming out, widescreen will make the games more immersive.

The only monitor I would rate higher is the $1299 38" LG is going to have on Black Friday!

Looked at 4k and 8k youtube vids and the colors were popping and the motion was smooth!

This is a steal at $349, I may want to get another!

This is the lowest I've seen in 2020. I actually bought the non-curved model of this about a month ago for $30 more. This is a steal.
How did you like the non curved model??

so your dell u3415w looks better than the acer ? all the colors? but doesn't acer have better refresh rate?

I just installed the color profile and calibrated the monitor from a previous post, the color looks better now. I might just be me, the blue looks and red looks better on my old Dell U3415W. but once I played HDR videos on the new monitor... I want to get rid of my Dell monitor. haha

Picked up this monitor as well as the 32" dell s3220dgf from Best Buy a couple weeks ago.
They both feel like they offer roughly the same amount of real estate and size, but with different aspect ratios.
The higher dpi of the acer definitely helps with smoother text so I can reduce font size and sit closer to this monitor so I think the dell is gonna go back.
My only gripe is that changing inputs is a major PITA. I have my MacBook connected via hdmi and my pc through display port. If only one signal is active, auto input sensing works relatively well. However when both are active and you want to manually switch, it's a 5 button press operation:
1. Click to bring up menu
2. Click to select input change.
3. Click into input selector
4. 1-2 clicks to toggle to the correct inputt
5. Step out of the menu to confirm selection.
There is no way to customize this and make input change a Hotkey/shortcut. With the dell, you can bind a specific input to one of the 4 buttons.
Anyhow, gonna live with it for a while to see if it's a keeper. I think I like the 21:9 but still getting used to it.

I've been waiting on the Dell alienware 34" ultra wide deal, but this seems like a way better deal. Anyone here have experience with both.

If you had to pick one, would you pick the Dell or this one?

A VA panel with 200+ TU's? What am I missing here?
The other specs that make this monitor stand out.

I would pick this Acer 34" It has the better colors and text is sharper.

The wide screen is better for my eyes and neck as less moving all around to see everything on the screen.

Though, the 165hz and lower input lag on the Dell as well as the better monitor stand, may be what some folks prefer over the widescreen of the Acer. The Acer has more vibrant colors as well.
