This seems like a great deal. Have there been better deals for a 1440p curved ultrawide?

so your dell u3415w looks better than the acer ? all the colors? but doesn't acer have better refresh rate?
Acer has better refresh rate yes which is nice for gaming, kind of nice for productivity (really just moving windows around looks cooler). For me I decided colors much better on U3415W also (compared to Gigabyte 34, same panel as this one).

A VA panel with 200+ TU's? What am I missing here?
Yeah, I think gamers and a few other users will really enjoy this monitor.

I don't know if a VA is for everyone though. I think there are many who would be happier with another panel, if they saw it in person.

Either way, don't pay attention to the thumbs. They don't mean anything anymore. And even in the old days, it was often just social confirmation, and ended in people buying things they don't need, or items that weren't the best product for their needs.

Yeah. I mean not a bad deal for people who don't care but personally I would never get anything other than an ips. There was also a laptop deal with 4600h processor for $599 I think with a TN panel and close to 200 TU's. Yuck. That's a big trade off

Because an IPS equivalent to this starts around $900. At 27" inches the IPS is always recommended due to small difference of price... but this is a significant price gap

I got this yesterday and really love the ultrawide feel. The text is crisp and good for what I do. However, when I play videos on youtube, it doesnt fill the entire screen. Is there a setting that will help with full screen view.

Thanks, forgot about that deal.

Though true 144hz w/ 1ms response time is much better than 100hz with 8ms response time.

Then factor in name brand + warranty and buying from Costco I'd say the Acer is definitely worth the extra $50.

Guessing everyone assumed they would get the price adjusted day of and bought early..

Also assuming this will be super hard to get day of with stock already being sold out..

If I see more come in should I buy right away?

Considering Costco will adjust price based on the sale price and not stock, yes, get it now if you can when (if) they come back in stock

I wouldn't be surprised if Costco replenish the stock right before Cyber Monday. Since this is a Costco exclusive, pretty sure Acer will send them more. I mean this is a win win for both Costco and Acer and if they've emptied inventory right now, this will be a sellout come CyberMonday.

I've been using mine since yesterday and love it. Had to get used to the ultrawide peripheral in gaming (Modern Warfare) but now, I can't go back to a regular widescreen panel.

However, most content like Youtube, news videos, etc are still 16:9 so the typical black bars on the side. ..however, get the "ultrawidify" extension for Chrome browser.

This is the Amazon TV show ..ZeroZeroZero.
