Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.

It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).

Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.

I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.

Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

I looked into this and general consensus is that this WILL NOT work. Most Costco employees online are saying they are told not to honor price adjustments for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and sales for items purchased beforehand. Of course, you can risk it but there isn't any guarantee you will get the price adjusted (most said if the item goes out of stock, Costco will definitely not price adjust).

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.

Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

I'm going to return mine. I love the size. But the colors just look off. I even tried the color settings and ICM file another user kindly posted. I don't know if I have a defective unit or this is the panel. Text is clear and sharp, but the colors are so off it's weird... I've tried IPS and VA before and this is just wrong.

For those complaining about blurry/fuzzy text, try adjusting the scaling in Windows (Right-click on desktop -> Display settings -> Scale and layout or just search Scale). 100% (default) was too tiny and fuzzy for me, while 125% was too large and kinda defeats the purpose of a 1440p display (vs 1080p). Didn't realize you can set a custom scale though. Found a sweet spot around 112%.

More and more satisfied with this monitor with time. I can get use to 3440x1440 XD

How is that they have always denied me a price match on Black Friday stuff when I buy early, but everyone here seems to think they will get a PM this coming BF sale? Is this a case by case bases or what?

Try another cable. My colors are right on, even rivals an IPS. I am connected via DP and use my own cable that is good for up to 8k.

Cannot believe how this monitor rivals the more expensive models. Vibrant, dynamic colors, sharp text, HDR, 144hz, just WOW.

The store will not price match as it is an online item, you have to fill out the online price match form to get the price match.

You need to ask for a price adjustment. It is done online. Unless bought in store, then the store will adjust the price. They do this all the time when their coupon book comes out and I buy the stuff early.

So my Mac does not show 3440x1440 resolution option. I have set it at 3360x1890. Tried installing DisableMonitor for mac and it allows 3440x1440 res but then I get 1 inch thick black bands at top and bottom of the monitor - only middle part usable - but still the resolution does not look good.

I am using HDMI cable which came with the monitor. I have ordered a thunderbolt 3 to Display Port cable. Will see if that helps.
