Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.
It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).
Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.
I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.
Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.
Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

My 3 yr old HP monitor(Costco version) bricked and I took it back (still had box/receipt) to store and again, no questions asked. Got store credit for $299+taxes and I bought the Acer 32" Nitro.
I do know some people may get anal on such returns but I'm also a premium member and I spent $2-$5k easily every year and almost all TVs/electronics are purchased at Costco, mainly for ease of returns/exchanges. I'm pretty sure Costco does keep a tab on higher dollar returns (and trend if u show up every month buying/returning stuff).
That being said, I also do not return every single item that breaks after 2 years. However, I've personally witnessed someone returning 5 yrs old dirty paddle board and Costco returns issued them full refund.

1) You can order the monitor now for current price
2) Since this is online exclusive, you CANNOT get price adjustment in store (Store will simply ask u to return it).
3) To get price adjustment , you have to do it ON sale day (if this ever happens). Nov 30, ..goto Costco website, sign in and fill out the price adjustment form
https://customerservice
4) From what I was told by CSR, as long as the item gets on sale (regardless of stock), Costco will honor the price adjustment (as long as it's filled out while promo is active in their system).
5) The difference will simply get credited back to the original form of payment.
Hope this helps.

- Good
- Color and quality for office work on Windows and Mac is good / equal to other VA panels from LG, HP.
- Gaming on Windows is great. (Call of Duty, 2070 Super, 144Hz).
- Not So Good
- Acer Display Widget - Windows only. Clunky. Cannot access / change all settings for different modes. No documentation. No way to change Aimpoint.
- OSD - Cannot change settings for different modes. Does not allow changing Aimpoint from default style or color even though 2 other styles appear.
- PnP/PbP - Can only be enabled via OSD. Could not get it to work. Monitor locked up.
- Speakers - Nice to have in a pinch but sound quality is not that great.
Even with the poor software / OSD experience, I plan to keep the monitors.Sign up for a Slickdeals account to remove this ad.
