is the x34 and this one using the same panel by any chance?

I don't think so. The X34 is already a few years old at this point, albeit it was on a short list of best 34" Ultrawides at the time. It runs normally at 100hz but can be bumped up to 120hz whereas the gaming monitors at this point go from 144hz and up. As far as colors etc, I don't really know how this monitor stacks up.

I guess this seems to be a good option now then. wish I had the means for the x35 tho. this seems to be a budget friend alternative.

I have a GTX 950 and I've got the monitor plugged in via DP to HDMI cable (DP on card, HDMI on monitor). When I go to display settings in windows I don't see a 3440x1440p option and the only refresh rates I see are 29 and 30.

What am I missing? Frown

I received my monitor a couple days ago and it's showing random black text as red or blue. Does anyone know how to fix this?

980ti with display port cable, running at native resolution, 144Hz.

Reducing refresh rate to 120Hz seems to fix it. The 980ti only has 1.2 DPs. When running at 144Hz and full resolution I must be running up against the bandwidth limits, resulting in these artifacts.

Some cables aren't rated for more than say 60 hz. You should check to see which port that this monitor supports for the higher refresh rates. For intsance, my Asus 144 hz monitor can only have up to 144 hz using either the Display Port or DVI, but the grade of the cable matters and I can't use some cheap DVI cable (newbie mistake back before I knew this info). You should also download the latest Nvidia drivers and checking the Nvidia settings.

Yeah, I've ordered a new DP to DP cable which should get here tomorrow.
Both HDMI on the monitor are 2.0 and both DP 1.4 so regardless of refresh rate, I would've at least expected to be able to select 3440x1440 Frown

I've updated both monitor and GPU drivers (looks like there was a DP 1.4 firmware update too which I needed) but no change.

Will see how the new cable goes.

Thanks!

Try going into the Nvidia control panel and see if you can select the resolution there.

Check my post up above. Your GPU only has 1.2 DPs, so you'll probably run into issues running 3440x1440 at 144hz once you get new cables.

Hey anyone got these already and mounted them? I am wondering if my 100x100 plate (which has 75x75) will fit this. Looking at the pictures again and I'm worried.

Or does this come with an adapter?

Did you have any issues mounting? Or did it come with an adapter/spacers?
