I finally decided 100% to return this. This is a cheap monitor in all aspects except for 34" curved + 144hz.

There were few factors that I noticed within 15 min, and I was already feeling it's not carefully made
- Mounting the monitor to the stand was not smooth. I tried like 20 times until it fits.
- Buttons are the cheapest I've ever seen within last 15-20 years. They are like the buttons used on the testing board. They are even so hard that pressing them shakes the whole monitor a bit. Whenever I press them to switch between pc and laptop, I feel like 'what a cheap xxx….'
- The labels for the ports shows 'HDMI' for both of HDMI ports, etc. this is a very minor thing, but this kind of thing is careless, the whole product may not be carefully made.
- OSD menu takes 5 seconds to show up. Navigating the menu is a pain.
- The resolution is not recognized correctly. After some fight, I could set it to the full resolution though.
After using for 1-2 weeks. I hate this monitor. It's good that I bought and tried this early. Now it's not too late to look for another monitor deal although I already missed the dell one that I liked.
- Sometimes (randomly?) the monitor doesn't wake up when it's set to the right port. This might be related to switching between pc and laptop.
- Vignetting along the side up to 2 inches. This is surprising because it's VA panel which is even curved.
- Today, the resolution is screwed again. I even installed the monitor driver, but I cannot set it to the full resolution again. (btw, the acer website search didn't recognize the model number)

Overall I think the $350 is not slick for this quality but maybe fair. It might be ok if you use this for only one source, and all you want is 144hz wider panel for gaming no matter what J

What a coincidence. I also had fraud alert and got it removed right after it went out of stock again.

Decided to give it a try. Best case I'm satisfied coming from a 27" IPS 165hz. Worst case I return it and keep looking for IPS models to come down.

No one else has these issues. You got a defective monitor or cable.
You are almost always wrong when you say "no one" unless you've heard from everyone, and it's simply impossible. So, you are wrong anyway.

In most cases, I just return and don't waste time to write the negative comments because it's another loss due to the product I hated. But, as I had a help from this post to get some potentially slick deal (which ended up not a slick deal), I spent time to share my experience to help others too.,

I know right. What luck. I had to call in for the fraud alert hold time over 40 minutes. I even had item in cart and just needed to press submit once fraud alert cleared

Yet, it does not help as you are not giving a review of the monitor, only that you either received a defective unit or are using a bad cable. No one else has mentioned having all the problems you are experiencing.

And yes, return it and not comment unless you go get a working monitor or cable.
You are wrong again. Not wasting more time for useless conversation. No idea why you're even writing this kind of comment. Are you a dad of this monitor? LoL

Have had mine for 2 weeks now and rock solid. With my AMD custom color profile and GPU sharpening, grahpics look amazing.

Had a hard time in Modern Warfare as the extra panning on the side due to the ultrawide killed my controls. Almost was ready to go back to a widescreen monitor.

Then thought to increase the sensitivity on the horizontal setting (vertical sensitivity is same as before). This did the trick ..had to play around with the setting till I found the perfect number!!

Now it's much easier to pan horizontally. KDR went up. Downloading Black Ops right now and then Skyrim (might have to use the ultrawide hack though as it natively doesn't support it)

Anyone throw a PS5 or Xbox Series X on this monitor yet? I'm looking to upgrade my 1080p monitors for the new systems.

Do not buy ultrawide for consoles.
