Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.
It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).
Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.
I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.
Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.
Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

THE QUICK SHORT ANSWER IS NEW CONSOLES DO NOT SUPPORT ULTRAWIDE ASPECT SO WHILE TECHNICALLY, YOU CAN CHOOSE A 2K RESOLUTION, YOU'LL GET BLACK BARS ON THE SIDE OF THE SCREEN.
Also, console games DO NOT natively support ultrawidescreen resolution unlike PC versions.
Also ls this one better than the Monoprice 34in Curved Ultra-Wide Gaming Monitor - 1500R, 21:9, 3440x1440p, UWQHD, 144Hz, ?

The buttons are literally the same as most other Acer monitors. They're identical to my 32" Acer IPS panel from over a year ago, for example. Completely identical.
The OSD on mine (that I am on right now) comes up immediately. Response is quick. Monitor immediately worked at correct res, and I was able to find the Acer drivers on their website the first time I looked. My resolution has never once changed or reset, all the games I've played detect it correctly and run at the correct refresh and resolution, HDR works great.
This monitor is fantastic. The colors are great, viewing angles are better than I expected, and it's a pleasure to game on. I got this and the Dell 32" curved 165hz that was on sale a couple of weeks ago, and they're both beautiful screens. The Dell is superior in overall aesthetic, and has a great stand. The Acer is a gorgeous UW screen that is very bright and has a great, clear image. No flickering, ghosting, banding, vignette issues, backlight bleed, etc. Only issue with either is that the frame on my Dell is off slightly along the base in front of the screen, it either was assembled sloppy or got pushed in at some point, but it just shows that QA issues happen, in every manufacturing process.
You got a bad panel. You should return it or exchange it rather than keep using it, knowing it's not working correctly. That's just weird.
Returning 3 of these monitors after 4 days because of the fatigue of my eyes. I can't explain why but I feel my eyes are quickly tired while looking at these. I found some others also pointed out this in the comments.
It's super surprising that they used such poor buttons in all of their monitors! How much do they save from that... It's just too poor especially compared to the DELL and LG monitors that I used. Also, the integrated 2w speakers are literally worse than my phone speakers! Overall they are not quality monitors. I'd never consider buying them over $349.

Yeah the speakers suck. I didn't buy it for speakers, lol. I have Razer Nommo for that.
Interesting on the eye fatigue. Did you try adjusting the brightness, etc? I have crappy eyes, the only area I ever have a concern is reading the text. It's been great for me. But if that many people are having issues, it doesn't speak much to their QA. I got lucky I guess, bc mine is fantastic.
