I'm going to use this for a few more days then I might return it. It is extreamly harsh compared to my old monitor. I have night mode on and lowered the brightness and the whites are still too harsh. Is there a way to fix this?
Lowering the contrast after nailing your gamma should fix your whites. If it looks washed out, set black boost to 0.

Hi, I'm missing something, it's been constantly shown as sold out. Has anyone else ordered one successfully in the past week?

I finally decided 100% to return this. This is a cheap monitor in all aspects except for 34" curved + 144hz.

There were few factors that I noticed within 15 min, and I was already feeling it's not carefully made
- Mounting the monitor to the stand was not smooth. I tried like 20 times until it fits.
- Buttons are the cheapest I've ever seen within last 15-20 years. They are like the buttons used on the testing board. They are even so hard that pressing them shakes the whole monitor a bit. Whenever I press them to switch between pc and laptop, I feel like 'what a cheap xxx….'
- The labels for the ports shows 'HDMI' for both of HDMI ports, etc. this is a very minor thing, but this kind of thing is careless, the whole product may not be carefully made.
- OSD menu takes 5 seconds to show up. Navigating the menu is a pain.
- The resolution is not recognized correctly. After some fight, I could set it to the full resolution though.
After using for 1-2 weeks. I hate this monitor. It's good that I bought and tried this early. Now it's not too late to look for another monitor deal although I already missed the dell one that I liked.
- Sometimes (randomly?) the monitor doesn't wake up when it's set to the right port. This might be related to switching between pc and laptop.
- Vignetting along the side up to 2 inches. This is surprising because it's VA panel which is even curved.
- Today, the resolution is screwed again. I even installed the monitor driver, but I cannot set it to the full resolution again. (btw, the acer website search didn't recognize the model number)

Overall I think the $350 is not slick for this quality but maybe fair. It might be ok if you use this for only one source, and all you want is 144hz wider panel for gaming no matter what J
I agree it does have bad buttons and screen wobbles big time when using them. The OSD is pathetic too and I hate it when I have to use it. But these are not something I plan to use often after initial setup - so can live with it.

I somehow feel the display is not good. I am not sure if its issue with my settings or bad panel or its really not good display to look at. This is what gives me second thoughts if I should keep it or not!

why... it was helpful. why do I get a feeling that you are angry due to the negative comments
The monitor is great, I do not think you gave a negative comment. You were commenting on a defective monitor or cable.

I find it more useful to hear what others have to say about using the monitor and if it is worth it for the price.

The screen looks IPS and not VA, the HDR is great when gaming, just do not turn on HDR in windows, makes the colors look dim.

Text is sharp and it gets super bright. Almost looks as good as an iMac screen, not quite, but almost.

This hits almost all the marks I was looking for in a monitor. I am going to keep this and sell my Dell s3220dgf as well as my 43" LG ips 4k TV. Both great options as well.

Ultrawides just seem to feel natural to my eyes and less head movement.

Looking to go up to a 38" in the future when the prices drop on those.

I actually dug into this pretty deep and I do not think this is true regarding the returns. The product page says:
After receiving the item, contact seller within: 30 days
Refund will be given as: Money Back
Return shipping: Seller pays for return shipping
Refer to eBay Return policy for more details. You are covered by the eBay Money Back Guarantee if you receive an item that is not as described in the listing.

Then if you look at the eBay return policy it states:
If your item arrives damaged, doesn't match the listing description, or is the wrong item, you can return it for a refund. If you've changed your mind and want to return it, you can ask the seller if they'll accept a return.

So if something is wrong with your product, yes you might have better luck with the added eBay level of protection versus ordering straight from Newegg. However, if you want to return just because you don't like it, sounds like Newegg can still say no.
I see what you're saying. Let's hope I like it and/or it isn't broken.

Wait, why is everyone buying this now (since you, reportedly, can't price adjust), and why is it out of stock? It won't be on sale until Cyber Monday.

i know its a lot of pages, so you probably skipped all of it.

1. you can't price match in store, but you can price match on line. you have 30 days
2. if that fails, you can return it
3. computer accessories and things are selling out at a insane rate, better buy now if you plan to work from home.

you can't lose with this deal.
minus, lack of adjustment stand

Thank you for the helpful reply. That's new information since I visited the thread last a week or two ago (when I read through the first several pages). Read through the last several pages earlier, and saw no mention of it.

hi all, I'm not super techy and bought this deal. Wondering, I'm using an older PC now, but I cannot get this monitor to show above 1920x1080. It doesn't look crisp. I tried going into monitor specs but doesn't seem to be something I can do from the monitor. My desktop automatically sets resolution, and even though I've gone in and adjusted, it is maxed out at 1920. Would anyone have any suggestions? the text and numbers look totally fuzzy at this resolution. I use this mainly to look at charts and numbers. Thank you!

If you have an older machine, the gpu is probably not high spec enough to drive the resolution that this monitor can handle. So I'm guessing that's why running 1920x1080 on a 34" is going to look fuzzy. Things will look huge.

What kind of cable are you using? A good HDMI cable will allow up to 3440x1440 @100hz and a DP cable will allow up to 3440x1440 @144hz. I also recommend that you download the monitor drivers from Acer's website. From there it's a matter of going into the software for your GPU (Intel, Nvidia, or AMD) and selecting the resolution and refresh rate you want. Right click on the desktop and see which vendor pops up if you're not sure what you have. Should look something like this [intowindows.com].
