Sure thing. Just spread some rep if you can

Calibration was aiming for 6500K with gamma set to 2.2. So I calibrated with a brightness of 40, contrast 50, black boost 5. Color 2.2, color temp set to User, R Gain 48, G Gain 47, B Gain 47.

It's said you can adjust brightness without affecting the temperature or colors much. Rtings calibrates at 100 nits actually (for those that don't know).

Uploaded the .icm file and the DisplayCal report post-calibration.

I can try to calibrate again under the Warm color temperature setting. I think it should be more universal, and at 6600K it's already close to my target of 6500K. Just keep in mind the whole procedure takes roughly an hour, so give me a day or two if anyone is interested.

Slickdeals site doesn't allow me to upload .icm files, so I uploaded to Google Drive.

I looked into this and general consensus is that this WILL NOT work. Most Costco employees online are saying they are told not to honor price adjustments for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and sales for items purchased beforehand. Of course, you can risk it but there isn't any guarantee you will get the price adjusted (most said if the item goes out of stock, Costco will definitely not price adjust).

This deal is super tempting but I will play it safe and hold out to the 30th just in case a similar Dell monitor goes on sale.

Edit: also found out that even using the Costco Visa Rewards CC will not qualify your purchase for the price rewind. It only applies to other stores' prices, not to Costco.

Seems to be various QC issues. A lot of people reporting bad colors and blacks along with loud coil whine/buzzing and extremely slow wake up times. Others seem to have none of these issues at all.

Mine has pretty loud coil whine at high brightness but sleep/wake is relatively quick and colors look decent but not great.

Mine also has loud coil whine/buzzing when increasing brightness or enabling HDR.
Is that normal or should I just return?

Anyone having issues with the monitor displaying artifacts on 144hz with DP cable? It is noticeable on a dark/black background. Its looks like individual pixels lighting up rapidly and randomly all over the screen. When I drop down to 120hz it goes away.

Is anyone using this with a monitor mount? I bought the ergear mount from amazon, but I can't get the bracket to fit.

The Acer monitor comes with 4 extensions that fit into the indented part. You then place the brakes from the vesa arm, align the holes, and screw in the screws you removed to put in the spacers. It will look like the top extends further, but I'm guessing that's normal. I just tilt the monitor up a little more, and really make sure all nuts and bolts are secure. I have no issues with the mounting process with the same arm you got.

I got this and I am returning it and keeping my XV340CK.

I wanted a curved screen but I can't get over the difference in graphics quality. The IPS Panel looks so much better than the VA.

anybody tried plugging in any consoles into the monitor? (in my case a Switch). The wide mode in "Aspect" doesn't work, it just stretches the image vertically as opposed to scaling it full while maintaining 16:9 aspect ratio with black bars on side. I have to think this is a firmware issue...
Some Pics [imgur.com] of what I'm describing. Just a warning to potential buyers that would be inputting 16:9 1080p sources. Tested with Switch and Chromecast

I got this and the lg 35" , both from Costco. Oobviously their shipping sucks but i digress

Anyway, got the acer in first, so bright, too bright. As many others have stated you have to tweak it a lot of not get a headache and feel "weird". It also on the reddish side. The speed and sync is great. When in games it looks great, but when browsing ans esp on white backgrounds it is overpowering. The morningd are worse, don't need coffee.

Anyway, 2 days later my LG came in. The one negative is it is only 105 Ghz (well 100 but I tweaked it),.It comes calibrated out of the box so I only made some minor changes. It also has a smaller curve, like 1800. But I can browse on it without feeling eye aches and other annoyances. The negative is it is a 95 brightness so not much higher to ho.

The HDR mode on the Acer is not good, no one will ever use whereas the HDR10 on the LG is more true HDR (HDR 10 spec).

So the bottom line is the Acer is being returned because although the features are better, I have to be on this daily. I am squinting right now just typing on this (I keep swapping back and forth to be sure). I still liked the speed and curve better though. But since with my ftx 3070 i rarely get above 110 FPS it is a nonissue). And Cyberpunk with rts at med only get 60 lol.

I might sell to a friend at cost too since the prices was so goo (LG $50 more)

If you look through the comment there were a few people like me who returned for same reason, and a couple who also have the same LG. Oh and the LG has an awesome stand and OCD).

Follow up review. I got a potentially better DP cable, and the blacks are the same. I think it's just MUCH brighter than my other monitors and so the blacks look worse. I've been playing Cyberpunk on it for hours and hours each day and my eyes/head doesn't hurt. No coil whine.

Gamma 2.6, Black Boost 0, Brightness 40, HDR off. That worked for me.

12/3 "shipped" date and it finally actually shipped today. Annoyed about a 10-day wait and the horror stories here so just going to return it. Wish I would've gotten an extra AW3418DW during the Dell sale last year. Gave my MSI 34" UW to my girlfriend to use at home and have been searching for a replacement ever since.

I would test it out first. Seems like some people got really bad samples and some people got nice ones. Could just be difference in expectation but I feel like coil whine is pretty obvious.

Plus Costco returns are so hassle free even if you open and test it.

Anyone seeing slight blue discoloration in the corners? Is most apparent on the upper-left corner with a white background, such as a new tab on Firefox.

Otherwise not experiencing any other issues apart from typical VA black smearing.

I am not sure if I should say "obvious" for the coil whine. I have a very quite room, when the brightness was set at 50, I could hardly hear the whining sound, but when the brightness was increased to 60~70, that I started to hear the sound when I was very close to the monitor.
Not sure if that's normal.
