FYI AirPods are not eligible for a 2nd year of warranty from Costco or the Citi Costco card. I confirmed with Costco chat.

THIS!! Y'all are crazy buying this from anywhere else (unless you have gift cards that you absolutely have to use now).

I can speak from personal experience, had the first gen AirPods for 3 years. In the second year the right one started giving me some problems but I just lived with it. Finally got so bad I decided to give it a try and return them 3 years and 2 months after my purchase...literally no problems at all.

NO NEED for Apple Care (though that's a great price) and I can't think of a reason in the world to buy from elsewhere. Just ordered mine and they'll be here tomorrow!

"Literally"? Does that mean no questions asked or they have to call 2 managers over and talk about it for hours?

At Costco, if you push hard enough, you will likely get what you want or they could simply count out in $20 bills in front of you the refund of your membership and tell you never come back again. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Hmm, thats a surprise. Is that exclusion listed anywhere? The extended warranty was the reason to buy from Costco.

I initially wrote "no questions asked" but that's not "literally the case".

I gave it to the woman and said I want to return these (no box but brought the charging cable, no power brick). She had some trouble looking it up because it was so long ago so I gave her the order number (a 3-second search in my email for Costco orders found it right away).

After I gave her the order number and she found it she asked me if there was anything wrong with them. I told her the right ear piece was malfunctioning. Zero additional questions and the money went back into my credit card. That's it! No other managers called, no problems given.

I will say I try not to abuse their return policy but I do return things about every other month.
