Walmart has Shark Navigator CU500 Upright Vacuum w/ Self-Cleaning Brushroll on sale for $98. Free shipping may be available in select areas, otherwise choose store pickup where available. Thanks iconian
Just ordered with no issue. As a cleaning business owner, I have had several shark vacuum cleaners and would recommend this vacuum. The self cleaning brush roll is worth every penny. The best one is the powered lift away duo clean because you can go under furniture with it which is awesome and it literally picks up every speck of dust with the soft brush roll.
I picked this up for $98 at local Walmart. Said it was out of stock at my store, but actually had around 6 in stock (note: they were not in same area as all other vacuums).
Hopefully I can answer a few questions I had:
Yes - it does lift away (the 1st pic on Walmart website is wrong, it's not the Deluxe Lift Away, it's the Professional Lift Away). Just used this on my stairs.
The head actually swivels, which is not listed as one of the features.
3 modes: Off, Hard Floor, Carpet. Carpet engages the brush roll.
Cord is 25 ft. Plenty of length for walking up and down a regular set of stairs.
Felt a little heavier than I would have liked, but 1. I think I'm used to using a motorized head and 2. I'm lazy. This is not a deal breaker for me.
The body and connectors are made of plastic, which felt slightly cheap to me. Again, for $98 not a deal breaker. $200 I might look elsewhere.
Comes with a crevice tool and a pet multi tool. They are standard but very useful.
No physical pedal/release to disengage the handle from the upright position. You just put your foot on the floor head and pull down, if that makes sense.
Roller brush stops when you re-engage the handle back to upright position, which is a nice feature.
Hose length full extended might be around 6 feet. Felt a bit short if you need super high reach, but again, it is a lift off so you shouldn't need a 12 ft. hose.
Will not go under a bed/couch, but this isn't designed to do that. I think you can buy a tool if you need under the bed/couch.
Power button is on the main body, would have liked it on the handle for convenience, but not a deal breaker at all.
Best feature: Thing is a super sucker. Just vacuumed my BR and was disgusted and delighted all at once. Picked up a TON of dust, hair, and other stuff I didn't realize was there.
For $98, I think this is a no brainer if you can find it. Shark is great and the suction is top notch. Wish it was a little lighter, hose was slightly longer ,and connections felt more solid, but great deal overall.
Got one yay!!!! The way to know you're old, you're excited to buy a vacuum for black Friday sales. 😂😂😂😂.

that is for you to decide.
kohls model has narrow body to get into tight spaces, led lights(thanks to alexandraS for the info) some models have a slider switch for adjustable suction(for diferent types of carpets) dont know if it has that.
if you can, decide what are must have features for you, makes it easier to pick one.
i dont need led light. but i want to try the new silicone cleaning head for hair, so i dont have to clean hairs out of the brushes.
Just picked mine up and the brushroll won't spin. Tries to spin, makes a noise and then the red light comes on. I can't even spin it by hand so I'm assuming it's just defective. First and last shark vacuum I'll buy.
I can't figure out where the accessory holder goes.
Edit: Located. Was nowhere near where the diagram indicated.
Updated: nevermind, found where it goes. To anyone else wondering, first you slide the "wand" into the "pod", as per instructions. Then the gray plastic accessory holder sides over the top of the wand, and then you insert the handle.

I was just about to ask where to put it. I can't figure it out, where does it go?
Just tried this and sure enough it has a fair bit of my long hair wrapped around the roller. I also saw hair in the tank when I emptied it, so it definitely sucked some up and didn't get all of it around the roller. But I only did a quick, light vac of the living room, so that was a fair collection on the roller for cleaning a small area, but probably less than my regular vac would've had.
Also, the swivel head is something I had to work at to hold steady while vacuuming. Haven't looked yet to see if there's a way to lock it in place; if anyone knows, please tell me. But I have back probs and this could be a real problem to use at times. The upside is that if you don't have back probs, you may enjoy getting a little workout to your core using this. It's also LOUD af.
This may be going back, not sure yet. Gonna get my husband to try the liftaway part on the stairs (it's also a bit heavy to carry), and if that does a good job we may keep it.
I just found one at a Walmart nearby (Frisco, TX). They had a ton in store when I was there. Brought it home and tested it out. We have a cat at home that sheds quite a bit. Initial impressions are that it's a little heavy but well built. The suction on it is insanely strong coming from a small Dyson. I vacuumed two rooms and it picked up sooooo much hair. There was some hair that got wrapped around roller but after awhile, you'll see that it eventually cleans itself and you find the hair in the cannister. The lift away option is great. Overall, this is a great value. I am in love with this vacuum and I hate cleaning. My carpets feel better than they have in awhile. Huge recommendation from me.
This is a shot in the dark, but can anyone compare this to the Hoover WindTunnel Air Steerable Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner? I found it at Target for $79.99 marked down from 189. What's important to me is suction power and expected life. Thanks

Hair is my reason for purchase.
Eufy 30c fills its bin with pet hair every day, but that doesn't take care of stairs.
