Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
My store still had them marked as full price. Took it to the register and showed the employee the price on their app. He matched it no questions asked.
Another guy came to the isle looking for the same deal.
We both went to customer service, showed our screenshots of the advertised sale price. The employee called the manager, who refused to price match. Theyre making us come back tomorrow, when we were already in store, and the HD website advertises the sale price.
PSA: That is "fraudulent business practices" (law in my State) because the website does not say "this price only on this day [Friday]." For it to be a legal advertisement, it has to say the price, and any conditionals e.g. "while supplies last" or "on this day."
Same here in SLO, CA. Had the gal @ self checkout adjust the price to $9.98. No problem
Wow. You and a few others got good service. I'm surprised about the bad service me and another customer got. If you see my post above, we both went to customer service. A manger was called, who refused to price match, and he's making us come back tomorrow.
The lesson learned from your post and mine: If customer service refuses to give good service - go to another checkout to ask for a price match. It seems normal employees care more about good service/reputation than managers.

Store 2201 in Olathe KS. I noticed the website didn't say if any were in stock, but their app did show 7. I took it straight to the employee at the register, I didnt take it to customer service. Sucks you couldn't get it, hope you can tomorrow.

Thanks for that info. I got the app to reproduce the results. I picked your store and it says none in stock (also none at my store in CA). 1) If youre up, can you confirm how many it says in stock when you check the app?
2) And can you tell the steps you did to get the employee to price match? (E.g. did you just show the app > showing the item sale?) Ty.
I don't like installing extra apps. But I learned from your post that the HD app is useful to get deals and might have different info than the website (which I refreshed in store, but showed not available).
Edit: It's also weird that when I select your store or mine, and go to the search results of ladders... it shows this one and says "Delivery from store available." But when I click to go to the product's page, your and my store says "unavailable at [the store]," and "Out of stock online." Im taking screenshots and will have to go in tomorrow.

my HD had three boxes in stock but they employee had to check with the manager if they would be able to sell them since they were not put out yet. The manager gave him the green light and I got myself two of them tonight.

1. On the app I see the ladder listed twice, one is listed at $32.00 with 6 in stock (SKU 310833692). The second one (which has the exact same name and description) is listed at $9.88 and shows unavailable now (SKU 1001838511).
2. I went up to the one open register, not self check. Said I got a question, this ladder on the shelf said it was $32 but on your site it shows its $9.88 can you price match? I showed him the app w/ the price, he rang up the ladder and change the price right there.
Yeah I hate extra apps too, but the HD one is nice when it shows the exact aisle & bay the item is. And now I suppose for price matches too.

Thanks for the info. So the OP was not in your store. But they priced matched the similar item. Im looking at both versions now, and the one you got ($32) is a little better. So I'll try that one tomorrow if they dont have the OP version on the shelves yet.
Just picked one up in Chicago. It was not on display when I arrived. A few intercom calls and fork lifts later the "Black Friday" boxes on pallets came down. Thanks OP!
