There were TONS in my local store, spread out across multiple different displays. I'm highly skeptical of anyone who says their stores didn't have any first thing this morning. Sounds more like you looked in the wrong spot and didn't ask for help.

When can you get in store? I looked at the bf ad and it is saying 11/8. I went this morning and they looked up the system and said none in stock. There's another one that's $32 some gorilla 3 steps and they said that wasn't it. I gave up and went home.

App and website says none and in stock all stores I checked, Brickseek shows 30-50 at each store. Guess it's for purchase in store only. Prefer that over Walmart's BS deals with their TVs.

Tons at my store but not on the shelf. They said they are black Friday only and refused to sell me one. They did have the others that look exactly the same but those rang up at $32

These are indeed a black Friday deal.

When I showed them the online price in Rochester, MN, they got a forklift and brought down the pallets and opened them up for me. Smilie

Otherwise, they have almost identical units (slightly different handle) at regular (decent) prices.

By the way, if you ever find something on Brickseek that is a ways to drive to, call and ask the store when their last inventory was done and if their stock numbers are accurate. I rushed to a Lowe's once to find tile that Brickseek showed in stock and the Lowe's guy told me that the in stock numbers are only as good as the last inventory and for some of the stores, it might have been a month. In the case of Lowe's and Home Depot, if an inventory hasn't been recently performed, the numbers can be widely inaccurate. The Lowe's guy told me that they will often sell clearance stock to contractors in bulk and it doesn't get removed from their system until the inventory resets everything. The Lowe's guy told me which stores had recently had inventories done and I found their Brickseek stock numbers to be very accurate. By the way, you are nuts to drive to a Walmart off of Brickseek.
the Lowes guy you were talking to was wrong--even though it takes a couple of days for the online inventory to catch up with the in store inventory, it is definitely not according to the last time the store did inventory

Did you happen to check the inventory on their system there at the store or walked around and found none ? These seem to be BF specials and they may be "hidden" or the pallets not put out yet.
I appreciate the suggestion. I walked all over and looked carefully (easily 15 minutes wasted just looking for this step ladder). I was told they didn't have any at their store, but who knows if they were sitting in the back since the employee just looked at the online store inventory on his phones using wifi. I couldn't use my phone because of no T-Mo cell reception inside (typical at most big stores). Maybe they had public wifi but I didn't check.

During my wandering I saw the BF $80 18' ladders and the $24 platforms, but no Gorilla 3-step ladders as shown in the picture.

The HD employees were hard to find and too busy helping other people or wheeling out giant stacks of wood to people waiting in trucks outside. I remember hearing some handymen and contractors tell me they use HD and not Lowe's. Going there yesterday helped remind me how HD caters to them, with employees assisting them, special gated areas for them to drive their trucks into while multiple employees lift in the heavy stuff, yet in the rest of the store employees were scarce and helping other people. I had to follow the lumber section employee around for about 10 minutes before he finished with his other customers and he gave me about 1 minute to walk to the ladder section and another 30 seconds looking on his phone to tell me they don't have any, then he went to helping the next customer. I guess I don't look rich or cool or handyman-ish enough to get good service. It reminds me of the airlines with 1st class vs. coach.

Much like Han Solo said "no reward is worth this", I say "no step ladder is worth this". Sure, I could've ordered 5 and returned 3-4 of them when they were available online, and maybe I should've, but I'll make do with my existing step ladders. I was just trying to replace a couple which have dried paint all over them because a handymen used mine and dirtied them up. I'll only try again if HD has the in-store pickup option available.

Had a store associate look up the SKU and said it was online only? I'm so confused.
