Yea..i find that pretty hard to believe since in the last several decades it has NEVER been this way...then throw in the pandemic which stopped/slowed production and the possibility of another 2nd wave during the the height of flu season and I highly doubt this is the case at all.

I have way too many PS4 games to finish still. I'm excited about PS5 3d audio but it only works for games that support it so I'm in no rush until I clear my backlog of PS4 games hopefully before the PS6 comes out...

Have 3 friends that had their ps5 pre orders canceled. One was last week, two were yesterday. For one, target charged his card 3 times which caused the cancellation. He can't get pre order back. The other 2 were amazon. They received emails saying unauthorized log in and canceled all orders, the main order being the ps5. Take it for what it's worth but that's crazy.

Previous releases did not take pre orders so early on. Sony is definitely prepping on the issue and giving themselves ample time. They'll still be supply constraints for sure, but not as bad as when PS3 was released.

Good luck to everyone. I was lucky and have preorder through PlayStation direct. Received extra controller, charging station, media remote, and headset. PS has been taking money a couple days before each item ships, and still haven't taken money for the console and Demon's Souls. . .I check like 2-3 times a day!
