I'm going to hold off on updating the OP until this is actually confirmed by T-Mobile, but if true, this is a very good deal for people who have older Pixels.
Hmmm now debating if it's worth it. I have a Pixel 1 as my main driver and a spare S7... I think I would keep the pixel 1 to keep unlimited OG photos upload.. have to debate if S7 (T-mobile, unlocked) is worth the trade in

Everything else would be a push or in favor of the S8.
Larger internal storage with the Pixel, but expandable w/memory card on the S8.
Larger battery on the Pixel, but better display on the S8.
It is just a list of potential trade-offs between them, so......just depends what you're looking for.
Get one for $250 (half off 500 they say is "full price"), sign up for a cheap plan with them, month to month, then stay on the plan until credit they give runs out and we're gucci.
15 a month for 2gb then my partner can tether off my work SIM with basically unlimited data... sounds like that could work for us although it would be a 2 year commitment
