Evidently prepaid customers don't qualify?. When you click the pre-order link, and sign 8n it opens up a page saying "gone fishing".

How does add a line work? How long do you have to keep the line? Thanks.

I have a perfectly fine og pixel xl I bought brand new 2yrs ago for $150. The trade in is $7.00 ☹️. Bill credits are fine since I've been with TMO for a long time. I dunno

It really depends on the evaluator. They have the assessment checklist and I believe deep scratches are listed as making the phone unacceptable. That said, I had phones like that making me worry about the trade in so I went to a Tmo store to have a CSR pre-assess and make notations on the account. The guy ok'd my one phone that had really deep scratches that almost looked like hairline cracks on the screen. Glad I did the pre-assessment in store because I packed the trade in phones really well to send by mail then the evaluator sends these pics with my trade ins all jacked up and telling me I need to accept reduced value or cancel the trade in. Like WTF. But since I did the pre-eval and my account was notated that the phones were acceptable trade-ins, I was able to get the full trade in value after accepting the reduced trade in value and calling Tmo.

Just call before you go down to the retail store and ask for the person you spoke to. Pretty easy to figure out over the phone the CSR's vibe and disposition/willingness to do the pre-eval.

Thank you for responding. I will definitely go to a store to have them write notes in the system.

The fine print: "You will need to be on a Magenta, Essentials, Magenta Plus, ONE, Simple Choice, or Sprint Unlimited plan to qualify".

I'm on a decade-old grandfathered plan, and the csr confirmed that I was eligible without switching plans. I asked about a crack on the back (not the screen) and she advised going to store for their assessment.

Ditto, as much as I love my Pixel... the battery is suffering and it'll just be a matter of time until Google changes their mind and says no more original quality uploads to Photos

I'm on a 15 year old plan and they said that I would have to switch plans to get the deal as-is.

They did offer a workaround to where I would buy the phone outright and they would put a $250 credit on my account towards the new phone.

I don't think they were even asking for a trade in...

Do we have to be on their EIP installment plan or can we pay in full to have the $250 in credits still hit my bill over 24 months?

You have to purchase on an EIP, but you can pay it off early and continue to receive the credits over 24 months.

I think I'm being offered pretty much the same thing. I've been with T-Mobile for 10 years and have "Select Choice" which I believe I was forced to upgrade from Simple Choice, so I'm a little surprised to see Simple Choice on the list of qualifying plans. The rep who helped me had to get approval and is following up with me on Tuesday. Whether or not I still needed to trade in my Pixel 3a was still up in the air.

Anyone's best guess on whether a better offer will come out close to BF?

Also anyone know how to avoid $6.99 shipping fee when ordering from T-Mobile? I see on other sites that you can add coupon codes but I don't see anywhere where I can enter this.

I'm not a regular on the whole trade-in game. I'm on a One Plus plan. Does that mean it wouldn't qualify?

My current plan has unlimited hotspot and I can't afford to screw that up. That said, I've for a Pixel 3a that I'd be happy to trade in.

Also, I assume that the trade-in value I see during the process ($59 for my Pixel 3a) is what I get initially and then somehow I get the rest of the $250 in monthly credits. Is there anywhere you see that during the ordering process?

I'm be all about that workaround. Did you get that offer over the phone or in the store?
