Never go to store, most are franchises and work on commission, and will tell you what's working for them, not you. If it doesn't work with one rep, try another.
Both confirmed that I'm eligible to get the Google Pixel 4a promotion but I did not want to risk losing the $200 Costco gift card as the IMEI associated with the new free line is from another spare (unused) phone I had when doing the BYOD promo at Costco.

I asked the representative to Add the Google Pixel 4a to another of my existing lines (I have Simple Choice 4 lines) knowing that I opened a new free line and ported-in a number and I was told that the Google Pixel 4a will need to be billed under the new free line which will mess up any pending rebate showing under the new free line as the IMEI number will not match.

I would like to know if there is a way to do all 3, Costco $200, Tmobile $100, and Google Pixel promotion

I seriously doubt that My promo choice has account level access and be able to see what phones my sim cards are using. Even if they did nothing in the promo forbids me changing phones. I just read the costco promo again, the condition is: "all lines must be active at the time the rebate is processed". nothing about phones...

I messaged t-force to make sure my plan was eligible for the free line and pixel 50% off deal, they verified it was. I signed up for the free line yesterday at Costco and used my existing tmobile pixel 2 to be the imei on record. They put a new sim in and the line was activated. After leaving Costco I put back in my old sim so that I can continue to use the pixel 2. When I got home I verified that the new line was added and it was free (I'm on a simple choice unlimited plan). Then I went on to tmobile and ordered the pixel 4a 5g on eip as an upgrade on my old line. That phone will show up next week and I will then put my old sim in the new phone and the costco sim in the old phone. At that point I'll submit the costco rebate. The important part is today I received a text from tmobile that reads:

T-Mobile promo message: Line xxxxxxxxxx is scheduled to receive a monthly bill credit for 2020 Google Activate P1 as long as you maintain eligibility.

The line listed is my old line. This indicates to me that tmo's system doesn't mind that I put the new phone on the old line, just that I also have a new line on the account. Of course the proof will be whether the billing system does it correctly. My plan was to call tmo, probably waiting until after I get the costco card, if it doesn't to apply the credits automatically. My guess is with the tmo chat logs and the text message they can be convinced to add the credit.

I haven't decided on whethet to port a number yet for the other $100, but it doesn't seem to be much risk at this point, as long as costco will accept the ported number.

I don't know about anyone else but 5G in my area is lower than LTE. I turn off 5G on my Note 20 Ultra as it's just too slow.

Costco promo requires the new line to be active at the time of rebate processing. Norning in there about phones as the line is carried in the sim card/esim. Anyway costco promo was till yesterday...

Multiple people on Reddit and Discord say it will not work. The FAQ page on mypromochoice says to contact wirelessadvocates.com for denials as they are the ones who actually approve the rebates.

May as well roll the dice though. You're getting a good promo either way.

Why didnt you go for the free Pixel? The 50% off Pixel offer does not require a new line, only trade in. New line plus trade in = free Pixel.

Kiosk people also don't have access unless we give them the account pin. I seriously doubt anybody checks anything. We'll see in 3 months how it goes...

5G is not supposed to be faster, it is more bandwidth than 4G. Mine is off too...

I'm keeping the pixel 2 for my daughter (she's getting the line). I also had difficulty finding a used device here that qualifies. Craigslist sellers are a pain. I didn't want to trade the pixel and have costco deny the rebate because the phone I used to sign up was no longer on the account. I think the way I've done it gives the best opportunity to stack the costco, free line and %50 off. I think I can also do the line port for another $100.

To clarify the add a line option, when can you cancel an prior line without penalty? I would be okay losing my current number in the process. I have a 4 line plan currently.

I bought an s7 from eBay, $70 shipped, already in the way, seller provided IMEI which tmo needed for the trade in. When adding new line at Costco you can give them any IMEI, I gave them the one from the S20FE that I currently use. Lines are tied to sim/esim, not phones.

I added a line over the phone with tmobile customer service yesterday . Once I get the sim card, can I take it to Costco to activate it and buy a phone from Costco to get the 200 dollars gift card ?

I already did yesterday the Costco BYOD promo when adding a new line and ported-in a GV number. I was trying to find out if I will risk losing the Costco BYOD $200 GC if I choose to go with the Google Pixel promotions (Free with an eligible trade-in device)
