Just an FYI, this was posted yesterday on reddit:

Mint mobile agent just told me that tomorrow will be a Black Friday sale for new members of buy 3 months get 3 free... But the device you're using cannot have been active on Mint Mobile for 91 days. So even if you order a new SIM or phone number it's the device you are using that will determine if you are eligible for the sale price.

So if you are using google voice and renewing with a new number the discount might not work.

Unlimited Data: Unlimited means speeds will be reduced to a max of 128Kbps after >35GB/mo. or use of GB allotment for the remainder of the billing cycle. 1 month equals 30 days. Partial megabytes rounded up. Unlimited on handset and network only

why would someone buy a fereal link for 99 cents?

As I wrote, you do not need to buy, just look in the description of the auction listing for the code.

SO my sister just purchased 3 new activations last week. But she has not activated them yet.
Can she use this deal and then tack on the other ones?

Where did she purchase from? If from Mint Mobile, you can try asking.. but if it's from Best Buy, Amazon, eBay, etc. then no.

Normally it is $90 for three months, but with this deal if would be $90 for six months. They do charge taxes, when I signed up for three months of unlimited it was $11 total, but that might depend on where you live. Also just an FYI their unlimited is 35 gig per month before they throttle. Also can only use 5 gigs of hotspot per months.

1. Where did you hear this rumor, or are you starting the rumor?

2. in what way would BB's Black Friday deal be better than this?

what are the taxes? Sales tax? If you buy a mint card from Best Buy, would you have the same sales tax charge?

Bb mint mobile bf deal is already up. 3 months free for the 8gb plan. I just did it and I'm going to stay with it and try to challenge myself to stay under 8gb/month.

I believe it is Mint trying to get back some of the regulatory taxes that they have to pay in each state and perhaps some sales tax or maybe they are just padding some profit. Some report that the BB 8 gb deal has less taxes, someone quoted $1 and change earlier in the thread for the e911 fee.

Out of curiosity I just tried it on bestbuy and below was my total. I am in Maryland.

tem Subtotal$60.00
Store PickupFREE
Estimated Sales Tax$3.60
Prepaid wireless E911 fee$0.60
+ Apply a Best Buy Tax Exempt Account Number
Total $64.20
