Just an FYI, this was posted yesterday on reddit:

Mint mobile agent just told me that tomorrow will be a Black Friday sale for new members of buy 3 months get 3 free... But the device you're using cannot have been active on Mint Mobile for 91 days. So even if you order a new SIM or phone number it's the device you are using that will determine if you are eligible for the sale price.

So if you are using google voice and renewing with a new number the discount might not work.

Unlimited Data: Unlimited means speeds will be reduced to a max of 128Kbps after >35GB/mo. or use of GB allotment for the remainder of the billing cycle. 1 month equals 30 days. Partial megabytes rounded up. Unlimited on handset and network only

No cap on 3gb, 6gb, or 12gb hotspot
Looks like they changed the terms for this offer then (per the OP link) OR their terms are incorrect.

I've had Mint for the past 3 years and recently switched to T-Mobile. I get way better speeds on T-Mobile than Mint. It always felt I was throttled or Mint customers were 2nd class to T-Mobile's own. I'm sure that's the case, especially during peak hours, where I couldn't use Mint's network at all, literally unusable. Now, that I'm on T-Mobile, I can get at least still get some bandwidth even during peak hours.

Are you using the same phone as you used on Mint?

Anyone know how long this deal is going to last? I'm waiting on my A71 to show up from the samsung deal and wanted to try the 7 day Mint sim before I committed to 6 months of Mint. I know T-mobile works pretty well in my area but not sure if that has something to do with roaming on Sprint and if Mint would perform the exact same as T-mobile.
Most likely till black friday.

How you can get the cashback?
Easy to figure it out., and with referral code your total for 3 months 8GB service plan will be around $10 or free 3GB plan.

Good price. I opted to pay more for visible unlimited. Otherwise, I would jump on this.

also, bestbuy also has mint's buy 3 months, get 3 free but only for 8gig plan.
rumor is that bb will have it on sale for blk fri making it cheaper than this deal.

also, if you buy directly from mint do they apply alot of fees?
(bb = only 1time e911 fee of like $1 for 3month 12gig plan)
No fees, no tax.

It was the 8GB plan, 3 mos for $45 with 3 mos free.

Got 6 months total for $45 with the 8GB plan. It was only available for a few hours though.
thanks, at least I know it probably wont come back any time soon.

If I purchase a T-Mobile locked phone (specifically considering the A71 5G deal with trade-in on Samsung.com), will this phone work on Mint mobile? (Considering it is a TMobile-based MVNO, but a 3rd Party company unlike Metro by TMo)

Also, what would be the unlock requirement for the phone if I stay with Mint? (If possible at all)

Guys, I purchased my 3 month unlimited plan last month sometime during October and for some reason I renewed another 3 months in the beginning of November. I called customer service and asked to honor the same promotion for me, they said no! Then I said I would like to cancel my renewal that I just paid for months 4-6, they still said no. Then I said I would like to speak to a supervisor. The c/s rep spoke to the supervisor and the supervisor refunded the payment that I made for months 4-6 to honor the same promotion. So guys, who already signed up before the promotion started, call customer service and ask to speak to a supervisor to ask for a price adjustment. If you threaten to cancel or not renew, hopefully they will honor the same promo for you too. Give it a try, the worst they can say is no

T-mobile's $15 plan (2GB, unliited voice and text) is better plan.
That got me excited...until I noticed that tethering is not free, whereas it is on Mint. :/
