Mint mobile agent just told me that tomorrow will be a Black Friday sale for new members of buy 3 months get 3 free... But the device you're using cannot have been active on Mint Mobile for 91 days. So even if you order a new SIM or phone number it's the device you are using that will determine if you are eligible for the sale price.
So if you are using google voice and renewing with a new number the discount might not work.

Subject to change. New activation required using an IMEI and/or phone number not previously associated with any Mint Mobile account in the prior 90 days.
ie:
my current mint sim expired and no longer has service.
so i activate the new '3month get 3month free' sim from my work desktop.
thus no imei involved when activating
Metro works for me but the fee everytime I switch phones leaves a bad taste. I have 2 lines and mint would end up being cheaper. Plus the mobile hotspot for mint is appealing as metro does not have. But all this is moot if I'm compromising on data speeds.

My point here is that unless Mint doesn't let you swap your SIM cards between devices you can just provide a random compatible IMEI number and later on use such SIM card on ant device you see fit
plus if you sign up thru reward site, I got additional $24.80 (.20 went to charity selected).
On freeways (101, 405, 134, 210, 5), I can't reliably listen to Spotify anymore -- music definitely stalls and stops occasionally while driving... something I never encountered before with ATT towers.
Also, does anyone know if Red Pocket is going to have a Black Friday sale?
