Just an FYI, this was posted yesterday on reddit:

Mint mobile agent just told me that tomorrow will be a Black Friday sale for new members of buy 3 months get 3 free... But the device you're using cannot have been active on Mint Mobile for 91 days. So even if you order a new SIM or phone number it's the device you are using that will determine if you are eligible for the sale price.

So if you are using google voice and renewing with a new number the discount might not work.

I bought a 3 mo SIM a few days ago with the AMEX $45 off deal but haven't activated. Will this work for me? I can't figure out via their website. Hoping someone here is smarter than me (not hard).

I bought a 3 month 8GB Mint sim from Best Buy last month. After seeing this promotion, I just went and activated it with a phone that had never been used with Mint. Will I get this promotion, or does the sim have to be bought directly from Mint? Also, how can I check in the account if the promotion has been applied? Right now it just says "Current: Month 1 of 3".

FYI y'all. I have mint mobile, after 2 weeks of use my 4g data has been disabled even though I only used half of the data allowance. Mint could not fix the issue and I'm stuck with using 3g data. Besides this issue I have no other complaints.

Most likely you burn all your data within first 2 weeks, automatic data backup and other background activities can consume couple of gigabytes easily. Wait until the billing cycle ends or buy extra data 1GB for $10 or 3GB for $20.

I contacted mint. They confirmed only half my data had been used. They can't figure out why the error occurs.

If they can't figure out how and why., you can request your money back. Ask for manager and i'm sure he/she will make it right for you. Also try to reset your phone network setting.

Actually they activate sim card, not a phone. If your phone unlocked and compatible with Tmobile you'll be fine. You can even use two or more activated sim card on the same device, just swap the sim cards.
