Just an FYI, this was posted yesterday on reddit:

Mint mobile agent just told me that tomorrow will be a Black Friday sale for new members of buy 3 months get 3 free... But the device you're using cannot have been active on Mint Mobile for 91 days. So even if you order a new SIM or phone number it's the device you are using that will determine if you are eligible for the sale price.

So if you are using google voice and renewing with a new number the discount might not work.

Unlimited Data: Unlimited means speeds will be reduced to a max of 128Kbps after >35GB/mo. or use of GB allotment for the remainder of the billing cycle. 1 month equals 30 days. Partial megabytes rounded up. Unlimited on handset and network only

Anybody know how to stack cb and referral code
some were able to do this a year ago. not sure if you still can.
you clicked in on the cb link first and then pasted the referral link.
happy to provide a referral link if anyone needs.
six months for $45 and $15 renewal credit is a pretty great deal.

I just switched to mint from T-Mobile and I had a locked Sprint phone. It works beautifully. I went with the 8GB/month plan. I did the math and I'm paying $17/month vs the $65/ month I was paying with T-Mobile. I would of never known about mint if it wasn't for Slickdeals

I bought a 3 mo SIM a few days ago with the AMEX $45 off deal but haven't activated. Will this work for me? I can't figure out via their website. Hoping someone here is smarter than me (not hard).
I want to know this too! Bought a 3 month unlimited sim kit on Saturday. Wondering if I get this promo automatically when I activate or should I return it and buy again??

I've had Mint for the past 3 years and recently switched to T-Mobile. I get way better speeds on T-Mobile than Mint. It always felt I was throttled or Mint customers were 2nd class to T-Mobile's own. I'm sure that's the case, especially during peak hours, where I couldn't use Mint's network at all, literally unusable. Now, that I'm on T-Mobile, I can get at least still get some bandwidth even during peak hours.
Really. I've had T-Mobile for a year and I wasn't impressed at all. Dead zones when I would drive to the Bay Area. I have mint now and it's the same as before. Same dead zones since they use the T-Mobile towers. Only difference is that I'm not paying them $65 anymore. I considered their prepaid options but it still wasn't cheaper than Mint

Is there any advantage in service between Mint and T-Mobile... I think I heard that T-Mobile has access to partner cell towers and that mint only uses T-Mobile's towers.
And tmobile will prioritize traffic pushing down mint when capacity is reached for a tower. Learned this at a football game where I was using mint and my data speed sucked while my friend on tmobile was still working ok

No, we have both Mint & Cricket service in the family and Cricket is way better than Mint at any time.
Cricket is ATT and other than reduced speeds (3-8mb) its good. I have had cricket for 5 years along with most in my family and outlaws. Rarely had issues.

Same experience where I live in West TN.... Seemed ok in urban areas but service sucked in rural areas and data was slow. Maybe the sprint merger will improve this
