Just an FYI, this was posted yesterday on reddit:

Mint mobile agent just told me that tomorrow will be a Black Friday sale for new members of buy 3 months get 3 free... But the device you're using cannot have been active on Mint Mobile for 91 days. So even if you order a new SIM or phone number it's the device you are using that will determine if you are eligible for the sale price.

So if you are using google voice and renewing with a new number the discount might not work.

Yep through the end of this month, Chase Freedom/Freedom Flex is offering 5% cb on PayPal purchases. Make sure to activate the offer. Otherwise, if you have a Chase Ink card, it's 5% cb year round on cell phone bills.

It's not a secret. They explicitly tell you many times and even send you reminder e-mails as you approach 45 days from the date of the purchase.

I am going to give it a go, my number is in GV so I will just activate a new number on an old back up phone. I was planning on leaving the sim in there for a few days until the bonus 3 months posts and then moving the sim to my current mint phone. Feel like it is always harder for them to claw back the bonus than to not reward it. I will be doing this later this week and will report back.

Its not about whether its a secret. However if a customer has failed to activate within the deadline and requested an exception there is no reason to not honor it I feel. This is not an examination.
Good to know they send reminders. I am a week away from the 45 day mark, haven't received any reminders yet. How many days prior do they send the reminders?
