You are on the wrong website. You need to move along and visit SlickCraigsBayer.com. Congrats, you just bragged about the little beer money you just earned and robbed opportunities for 8 people who could have actually use these TVs

This is probably better than the Hisense, but not by much. Rtings has reviews on previous models on both. The Samsung is definitely not worth $250 more. I'd say the only upgrade from these that would be worth it would be a TCL 6 series or the comparable midrange Hisense.

I have a TCL 6 series, Hisense from BB, and Onn from Walmart. The 6 series is noticeably better than the other two but not by a massive margin. The Hisense and Onn are almost identical in terms of image quality.

It's insane to me that they can sell quality 4k 65" TVs for this price. Like seriously, the Hisense and Onn look unbelievable for the price.

The Samsung is definitely worth spending the extra cash on. I got the 65 inch Hisense for $250 and it's decent for the price but the Samsung tv is in another league as far as picture quality.
The Samsung TU7000 is a direct competitor to this. Not in another league and def not worth the extra $250. At the same price I'd say go with the Samsung. Check out the expert reviews for both. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/tu7000

Used hisense on an android tv and replaced it with the same series roku. The latter is so much smoother and this comes from an Android fanboy who owns google everything.b
If you were an Android fanboy you'd be using a Shield.

Careful with this tv almost picked it up but the nits brightness is too low if it's going in a dark room it's "okay" but it was far too dim for what I wanted

I bought this TV knowing that I wouldn't be using the Android TV OS at all. Android TV implementation is horrible. Roku is much better, which I have on another TCL TV. At $230, you can't go wrong, but be prepared to be disappointed with Android TV on this TV.

Can we get a 65 inch Roku TV for $229-$250 please!!!?
I don't want Android TV but I may settle and add a Roku sound bar to this.
I'm trying my hardest to hold out for a larger Roku OS TV.

Why the hate on Android TV? Is it that people fail to realize that any OS on inferior hardware sucks ass? I have a Shield TV that runs android smooth as butter. I have a cheap TV with Android on it that runs good enough and another that is even cheaper and Android (as any other OS would) runs like garbage.

I just purchased a Sony x900H with Android TV and it runs just as good as my Shield.

It is not the OS, it is the hardware. With that said, Android TV runs circle around all these other OS if you're into the whole "tinkering with my tech" world.

I love android tv, have a leeco (stuck on os 6.0 but still usable) and xiaomi mii box on an older tv. I just like the abilities to install certain apks and enjoy youtube with no ads, twitch streams w/ no ads, free anime streaming apps.

People wondering what all the backdoor stuff is all about:
https://www.tomsguide.com/amp/new...rity-flaws

Not sure if this will sway anyone's decisions, but TCL has acknowledged the problem, not sure if fixes are out yet.
