You are on the wrong website. You need to move along and visit SlickCraigsBayer.com. Congrats, you just bragged about the little beer money you just earned and robbed opportunities for 8 people who could have actually use these TVs

This is probably better than the Hisense, but not by much. Rtings has reviews on previous models on both. The Samsung is definitely not worth $250 more. I'd say the only upgrade from these that would be worth it would be a TCL 6 series or the comparable midrange Hisense.

I have a TCL 6 series, Hisense from BB, and Onn from Walmart. The 6 series is noticeably better than the other two but not by a massive margin. The Hisense and Onn are almost identical in terms of image quality.

It's insane to me that they can sell quality 4k 65" TVs for this price. Like seriously, the Hisense and Onn look unbelievable for the price.

I have the Roku version of this TV coming in tomorrow, but I'm considering saving $200 and getting this one. What I'm not clear on is what it means when everyone says the Android version is buggy. If I'm watching regular cable 90% of the time and the occasional Netflix or Hulu show the other 10%, will I notice any difference in performance? The ability to connect a bluetooth speaker is appealing and being able to use voice commands on the remote sounds useful (neither is available on the Roku version). Can one of you experts clarify what difference I can expect between the Roku version and the Android?

When it comes to TV's, always for the biggest size. I have a 65" Vizio in my bedroom (upgraded from a old 48" 720p Panasonic).

Now I'm selling my current 65" and just bought that 75" TCL (from the other thread). I already have a 75" Samsung in my living room (last year's BF deal for $1200) and for me, 75" is my sweet spot for TVs. However, the cheapest 75" last year was still over $1k!!!!
75" is way too small. I hope next year brings you at the very least to 120". Only then will you know true enjoyment.

Used hisense on an android tv and replaced it with the same series roku. The latter is so much smoother and this comes from an Android fanboy who owns google everything.b
Thanks for the feedback, further confirms i should stick w/ the roku version.

I bought this tv a few days ago. I also bought a tcl same series 55 Roku version.

The picture quality isn't as good as the Roku 55". Android is slow as well compared to Roku.

What I really like about Roku is how easy it is to change picture and sound settings and live TV guide which lets u switch channels easily and also gives you options to watch the same show via streaming services. All this is missing in sluggish android os

I purchased this TV during the last sale. (First TV I've ever bought for myself)

Not an expert with TVs, but some things that bother me would be the delayed audio update when raising/lowering the audio (from silent to blasting audio after releasing the volume button) and some delay when navigating some apps.

I do appreciate the audio only mode, which I use when going to bed.

Overall, for the price, I can't really complain.

Yes, I bought the 65" during the last sale around 2 weeks ago. I see the same issue - delayed audio update when raising/lowering volume and sometimes it ends up blasting audio. Other thing I notice is, I have my tv hooked to my yamaha receiver which feeds a 5.2 surround speakers - almost everytime I turn on the tv, I have to go into the settings -> system -> TLink and turn on/off for it to pick up the receiver. If not the sound flows thru tv speakers. It is annoying to do this everytime.

I was able to order the 55" walmart deal too but am guessing it will have the same Receiver issue that I have mentioned above like the 65" from target. What do you guys think? I don't see Android OS lag - so am ok for now with this.

Does anyone have any input for this tv vs. these at Sam's Club and Wal-Mart in terms of picture quality?

The TCL has 2GB vs. 1.5GB (Hisense) ram and more storage. They have the same processor but the Hisense is clocked at 1100-1400ghz vs. 900-1100 GHz on the TCL. Picture wise there isn't a big difference. Sound-wise I feel the Hisense is a bit better.

I decided to go with the Hisense for the main setup since I want better speed over running more apps.

It's probably been asked, but can anyone comment on this vs. Hisense 65" from Best Buy?
On that note, is the Samsung TU7000 worth the extra $250?

We bought the 55" 4-series for $199 at BB a couple of weeks ago. Honestly, if you need a TV for a guest room/bedroom/back porch, I recommend it. Way better than you'd think for the price and you can even sync a Bluetooth controller with it and download Moonlight to stream games from NVIDIA GeForce Experience on your PC if you're so inclined.
