You are on the wrong website. You need to move along and visit SlickCraigsBayer.com. Congrats, you just bragged about the little beer money you just earned and robbed opportunities for 8 people who could have actually use these TVs

This is probably better than the Hisense, but not by much. Rtings has reviews on previous models on both. The Samsung is definitely not worth $250 more. I'd say the only upgrade from these that would be worth it would be a TCL 6 series or the comparable midrange Hisense.

I have a TCL 6 series, Hisense from BB, and Onn from Walmart. The 6 series is noticeably better than the other two but not by a massive margin. The Hisense and Onn are almost identical in terms of image quality.

It's insane to me that they can sell quality 4k 65" TVs for this price. Like seriously, the Hisense and Onn look unbelievable for the price.

This is confirmed same series as the TCL 55" for $148 that was at WM? If so, 65" seems like the best value here, between that and the 75. ONly $80 more for 55 to 65, and $170 more to the 75.

Apologies if I overlooked something in OP, but this will again be in-store only, or online as well? (Edit- yes online and in-store)
I don't think it is the same as the Walmart $148 TCL had Roku.

China is not a scapegoat. They are the creator of Covid, responsible for the fentanyl crisis in the US as the creator and main importer into the US, they deal in stolen technology as a standard business practice. They monopolize entire world industries like drug production that America is so heavily dependent on. Our last aspirin plant closed in 2004. Can't even produce Aspirin without China. They have tied the value of their currency to the US dollar to avoid competition.. always artificially deflated so always able to produce far cheaper than other nations. They tax and Tariff the hell out of imports to their nation or just blatantly do not allow imports for certain industries. They have used these tools to target and attempt to destroy entire industries by flooding countries with imports like steel like they did in an attempt to destroy the American steel industry several years ago. Their point is total world economic domination. So no they are not a scapegoat.
You're spot on with your assessment of China. Do not forget that every company that does business with China must enter into a 50/50 partnership with the Chinese company (all of which are owned and selected by the government (i.e. CCP)). Under these partnerships, the companies are required (forced) to share their intellectual property. These partnerships allow sharing of copywrites, trademarks, etc under licensing agreements. However, since these are enforced outside China these Chinese companies (i.e. CCP) can turnaround and produce their own copies without reprisal.

Additionally, these companies can (and often times do) insert spyware into low level firmware and even into the hardware itself (after all - they are building it.) So, you can begin to see the "real" cost behind these low prices and the huge imbalance in the one-way trade deals.

If you do purchase TCL, Hisense, etc you must be prepared to accept the tracking or be prepared to locally secure your devices above and beyond what the TV itself offers.

With Korean brands, you typically do not see this type of nefarious intention, however, I'm sure it occurs to some extent as the data collected by Samsung (for example) is now at Samsung and do not think for a second they are not using it. Not to mention, that giant ball of juicy information is now a prime target for state sponsored cyber crimes.

I bought online but it didn't give me a shipping option so I had to pick up in store. When they send the confirmation email you can click through to extend your pick up date, I think the default was 4 days from purchase, I extended another 3 days to pick up in person at local target
how? this tv has been oos even before this topic opened.

Got both but returned Onn - like Android much more than Roku.

Unless the title is referring to Nov 22-28, 2019, it hasn't begun.

I'll just share my experience here if you have an Apple TV.

I purchased the 55" version of this and it mostly worked, but CEC wouldn't turn off the tv. it would turn it on, i could control the volume and whatnot fine but turning off would never work.

the comments are right that AndroidTV is a little laggy and typing on it is kind of awkward, but it worked good enough but whatever.

I returned this and got the 55" RoKu (same TV, different os/remote) and it works a hell of a lot better with my apple tv. my tv turns it off when I turn it off (hey siri turn off the tv will turn off your tv , etc). it also recently got homekit, so all the advantages of that (turn off when your device leaves home, using the home app to turn on/off the apple tv, etc all work fine).

If you're in the market for a TCL TV and have an AppleTV, i would definitely recommend the RoKu over this one, least until it gets some software updates.

I'm very new to Slickdeals and deals like this. Am I supposed to wait until Sunday night at midnight to purchase this online, or should I buy this now and somehow price-match later? I'm not sure how to take advantage of this deal.

Target will price match up to 14 days so if it is in your area, I'd scoop it up!
