Looking to mount in attic, reviews seem good. Can you mount multiple outdoor AP's and link the same way you can indoor AP's?

As long as you use the windows controller or physical controller they will all work together.

These are super good access points. I have three of them in my 3100sqft house with the controller software running on an old laptop. Seamless coverage and practically no downtime over the past few years. I purchased mine used for about $40 each on ebay, but $54 is not bad for brand new with warranty.
Keep in mind that the new EAP620 and 660 wifi 6 APs are coming out soon, so these may drop further in price.

So if I did 2 of the https://www.newegg.com/tp-link-ea...00J-00093&

And 1 of the following
TP-Link EAP225-Outdoor [newegg.com] AP / $62.99 AC

They would all sync together and create a seamless network throughout the coverage area? Do we have to pay for the controller or cloud service?

Cloud you have to pay for. The Omada software is free if you install it on a local machine that runs 24/7. Or you can buy a omada controller too.

This is basically $5 off, I've been watching amazon and its been $60 for a long time.

Bad link but I'm going to assume it's the ceiling version. Then yes. The physical controller is like $90. Alternatively, the windows software controller is free. These aps will continue to work when your computer is off but they would all act like individual aps (not talking to one another).

I have Linksys router that works very well throughout my 3000 sqft single storey house except in one corner of the house. Will this resolve without running the software 24x7. I don't understand that part. I like the POE option.

So can someone explain the controller thing to me? I am fairly certain that my friend just bought a second router, put it in AP mode, hooked it up and it's working fine with his primary one. I'm pretty certain he doesn't have a controller or whatever.

Some inexpensive routers are close to this price. Would I just be better off getting one of those? Does that eliminate the need for the controller?

Can the software run on Linux or more specifically a pFSense box?

The software allows them to become meshed with Fast Roaming?

It sounds like this was the precursor to their Mesh line. Other than this being POE and outdoor capable, I don't see an advantage over their Deco products.

Scratch that - I see that this is for a business environment with potentially hundreds of these. The Deco line is more for homes with up to 10 Deco devices in a mesh network but doesn't require a dedicated controller.

These or the Ubiquiti UAP-AC-PRO units? Ubiquiti is more expensive, but seems very similar in concept and also is either software controller or cloud key (extra cost).

The new WiFi 6 version has been "coming soon" for a while, but we don't know when or the cost yet: https://www.tp-link.com/us/busine...eap620-hd/
