You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.
It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.
Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.
back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

Last time I hit up a Cricket deal I was able to use different ccs etc and even changed st to street etc to get a few more phones sent to my house. And I was able to send phones to Mom's house on top of it with my other cc's.
But no go this time. It seems like a hard 2 per address limit. And you can't change st to street now because they match up your address to one in the system. And you can't use a 2nd or 3rd cc to send them to different addresses because it appears you can only send it to the billing address for the cc.
So to get above the 2 per address limit, you're gonna have to send it to Mom's address and use her CC.
Also I let my accounts die with the end of the first month. So maybe that causes the account promos to reset?

This on the other hand is not a deal. You're paying $50 for a locked phone that will cost $150-$180 of service to unlock, and this phone has a tiny screen, huge bezels and a 1.8k mah battery. This means poor productivity, despite the fast processor. The battery will degrade so much that in 2 years you will not even want to use this phone anymore, despite Apple supporting this phone until 2024. Trust me on this one.
For a $100 unlocked Android budget phone, I can get a phone with 5000 mah battery and 6" 1080p screen with slim bezels all around, and I can afford to upgrade the phone to better specs every 2 years and I don't have to worry about deteriorating battery health and continuous support from the manufacturer.
