You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.
It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.
Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.
back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

1. iPhone 8 surprisingly fetches better trade-in value than iPhone SE 2020 (T-Mobile), despite the SE specs being superior. (They seem to base it off launch price)
2. Initial iPhone 8 deal was for 128Gb variant @ $50, SE is for 64Gb @ $50.
3. It could be just that the are more stocks of SE.
4. SD community has been seeing a lot of mobile phone deals lately, from Samsung and Google Fi - probably people already bought some of them.
Thanks for reading!

I was waiting for a second iPhone 8 deal but it looks like we won't get it.
Now the question is if I should trade the 8 to T-Mobile for the 12 mini with 24 bill credits or keep waiting on Costco and hope they come out with a big rebate offer

You can get a new Tello number instantly -- port out info is given in your online account
Not sure if there's a port out delay but you can wait an hour if you want to -- Tello account number is the same for all family lines
Paid for 1st line:
