R-SIM is a SIM card add-on that looks like a really thin SIM card that mounts on top of your nano sim (or below depending on the model) that allows you to bypass the sim lock by hard coding a new ICCID that is unlocked.

You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.

It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.

Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.

back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

As long as you have an old Sprint SIM card laying around (they're reusable)... and an IMEI from a phone that's compatible with Sprint's network, you can sign up for the $5 service (data only) or if you want to play it safe... $6 service (500mb data, 100 min). Pay for service, enter in IMEI and SIM card info, activate. You'll have instant access to a new phone number, pin to access port out info.

but the bonuses usually will be paid if you stayed for 2 to 3 months right? i had fun with RK10 and TCB during the sprint $300 gc deal a few months back.

my RK just says $5 cash back.
The $40 is a referral bonus. If one refers a new user, then both get $40. But I don't recommend doing self-referrals as it's very risky.

i'll only do this deal if i can get 4 in same account...Teacher JaTan....
You can probably do two orders of 2 (if they go through) -- merge both accounts after activation

They're all on $60 plan anyways so it should merge as 4 for $130 -- not sure if they'll give account credit for extra amount paid (2 orders x $90 service each)

Don't downgrade and merge -- account credit from downgrade will probably be lost after merge

Not sure if it increases your chance of getting banned by Cricket from future online orders but up to you -- I'm not going to merge

Looking for one number to port, dm if available. I can pay
Bought two numbers from Ebay seller sdcomputers4less, one worked, one is inactive, now the seller is not responding.
My order is stuck. Is anybody aware, if i reply back to cricket customer service with completely different number will they process my order, or do i need to cancel and place completely new order?

It doesn't.
You don't need to "activate" anything.
I would activate the device using cricket sim before sending it/ trading it. Never activated iPhone also means when you enter iPhone information on apple it will not show up, its warranty etc will not start.

Yes as long as the sim works with your phone. There are different sims for different phones depending on the signal bands the phone can use.

Tello phone numbers are tied with the IMEI of the phone and thus the sims don't really matter.

So if the IMEI I use to buy the sim is sold the sim will be useless as that point?

I put everything in the cart it is saying SIM type: GLW416TQ - would this be a good sim to use for deals like this in the future? Thanks.

I would suggest to buy a sprit sim as it can be used multiple times at tello or other similar deals I future. Its a one time investment but in my opinion it's worth it. Dm me if you need to place order at tello and get $ 10 credit for future. This $10 credit can be used for ordering about 2 more numbers for this or future deals. Please note though you can use only one sim at a time. You can reuse the sim only after you port first one.

Dm me for if you want to join tello.

Yes, you can hold on to the SIM and reuse it. Unlike GSM carriers where the phone number is tied to the SIM (one use only).

That SIM you're getting, you can get from the Apple Store for free Wink

That's what I did.

Thanks was able to order -- lets see if it actually ships and delivers

Chase/Citi was being rejected with flipped apt/street -- Amex worked fine
I ordered my first order with 2nd address line as unit 1 and just received my delivery today and the unit 1 was not even there. I planned on testing 2nd order with unit 2 and using a different name. I should have used APT instead of unit.

Do you just go in to an Apple store and say you need a sprint sim for such and such iPhone and they just give it to you and you go on your way? Would I be able to say I need two for such and such two phones or would that be pushing it?

I use a GSM provider.
