R-SIM is a SIM card add-on that looks like a really thin SIM card that mounts on top of your nano sim (or below depending on the model) that allows you to bypass the sim lock by hard coding a new ICCID that is unlocked.

You can buy the R-SIMs off ebay/amazon and they are usually $10 give or take.

It works reasonably well and the wiki talks about how to operate it, the only challenge is sometimes iOS updates break it and sometimes you need a new ICCID but for the most part it's great and allows you to use a SIM locked phone with any provider. and in this case you dont have to wait 180 days with Cricket to get an unlock code.

Keep in mind it is unlike the factory unlocking process which is permanent. Here you are dependent always on the R-SIM.

back in the day it also went by the name Gevey SIM.

As long as you have an old Sprint SIM card laying around (they're reusable)... and an IMEI from a phone that's compatible with Sprint's network, you can sign up for the $5 service (data only) or if you want to play it safe... $6 service (500mb data, 100 min). Pay for service, enter in IMEI and SIM card info, activate. You'll have instant access to a new phone number, pin to access port out info.

correct.
If you did 2 lines on one account, you downgrade to the $30 plan but now you only have a $30 credit. So you would have to pay an extra $30 IF you want to keep both lines open for the 2nd month

I hope I made sense.
Almost

People will buy locked phones? What do you say in the description?
Sure. I said locked to Cricket. Plenty of regular folks on Cricket that would love a new phone at a good price.

Think bigger than $600. Think about reaching a much bigger customer base. I'm drooling at this crazy deal. I wish I can buy 1000 units. 😫
I hear you, but the logistics are tough, given shipping restrictions.

I'm wondering if cricket is going to cancel my order even though I already have the phone. The previous account information was valid when I made the order and after getting multiple needing more information emails from cricket my updates finally were processed and my phone was shipped out.

When I finally got the phone and tried to activate it I was given the transferring delayed message again and then I started getting the exact same kind of email asking for me to update my previous account information or the order will be canceled (unfortunately the previous account information is now expired)...

I tried to send an email to a cricket email address that I first found on Reddit but then I googled that same email address and found that it was actually originally tweeted out from cricket wireless' official twitter account a few years ago.
Since I saw that it was from their official twitter I sent the email that I made up to it yesterday, but I haven't heard back yet.

Any ideas if they'll actually cancel my order like the email says even though I already have the iPhone?

Was anyone successful using the unlock services, I read people trying long ago and now the thread has become a monster to be able to read, giving up after I read the last seven pages of comments and asking.. also forum thread view is not working on my computer to be able to search, may be it is because deal is marked expired, not sure

No.

You can look through any user's previous posts to see they posted any followups on their attempts to unlock their phones.

Does anyone have any experience with Trademore? Their offer for the SE's isn't very good but they are $90 higher than Apple to trade in my iPhone 11

Most are now trading in to amazon for a $205 (I think) gift card for a mint condition iPhone SE.
You could see how much amazon is offering for your iPhone model...

I got my payment from trademore. Turnaround time was pretty quick imo. I traded in 7 iPhone se for 195 each into my PayPal. Smooth

I got 4 SE's. I sent one to Amazon. I am using one for a trade in to Apple for a new 12. I have my 11 from last year. Apple only offered 340 for a trade in on it, Trademore offered 431. I am looking to maximize my return. We are keeping 2 of the SE's for back ups or iPods for a while. We did that with 2 iPhone 6s's we got a few years ago for 100 each on this same kind of deal from Cricket. I just sold both of them on facebook marketplace in less than 24 hours for $125 each. The two SE's we kept will replace those. For now anyway.

Anyone in a similar situation as me regarding the amazon trade in...when it first was brought up that they raised the value, I went through the process but did not see the option to have them return it back if they lower the value to under the $200.

Should I cancel that trade in and do a new one? The 2nd one I did I selected to have them return it if they don't approve the $200 value.
