There's almost ZERO chance you need more calcium in your diet. Beware of kidney stones. Just saying. Don't hate the messenger.

I would slightly disagree.
If you've changed your diet to loose weight for example. For many of us that means cutting dairy products. While dairy isn't the only source of calcium, for many it is the primary source.

I have a cousin that's vegan and has to take calcium supplements. Even though she eats plenty of green leafy veggies, her body wasnt absorbing enough calcium. She broke her toe last summer and it was taking much longer to heal than normal. Then she got her first cavity. She was diagnosed with the beginning stages of Osteoporosis, which vegans that changed their diet after 30 are at a higher risk. Her doctor told her to start taking supplements for 90 days and start eating more calcium rich nuts like brazilian and almonds. After 90 days, if her body doesnt improve, then they'll start on a prescription.

"Large doses of minerals can compete with each other to be absorbed. Don't use calcium, zinc, or magnesium supplements at the same time. Also, these three minerals are easier on your tummy when you take them with food, so if your doctor recommends them, have them at different meals or snacks.
