For me the waiting didn't work but hard refreshing did. last got the $5 for text opt-in back in February so others might have the same luck as repeat offenders.

Good to know, lately because they're shipping costs are so excessive and the minimum is relatively high, even the random $10 gift doesn't really make much sense. It's the equivalent of free shipping on a sale item that is around $10.
