Heck of a good deal for a basic laptop. Reminiscent of the Walmart Motile Ryzen 3 deal, but without the FHD screen.
Motile was and is still way better if you compare specs and performance

can you really upgrade it yourself to 32gb? that makes this a good deal right?
Yes, the board has 2 RAM banks.

As has been suggested here the 4GB of RAM will cause this to underperform relative to the other reasonable specifications here (such as the decent modern CPU). This isn't broken, but 8GB is indeed becoming the minimum just to boot Windows 10 given the memory footprint. Open enough tabs in Chrome and suddenly the page file comes into play (moving things between RAM and the storage drive).

Were the RAM at least upgradeable this would be easier to justify. This experience could get frustrating.

Good luck!
Jon
I using the 8th gen i3 14" laptop (older version of this exact laptop) with 4GB ram. 4 chrome tabs opened and a remote citrix session, ram utilization is 82% at the moment, Can you say RAM is not enough? Probably. But I still am not seeing any significant drop in performance and if I open few more chrome tabs my machine will probably not get laggy.

Those thinking 4 GB is too slow for this config are underestimating how fast M.2 SSDs are combined with the 10th gen i3 CPU. This is a good basic laptop for school work so the amount of RAM is plenty for that price and usage. If this were an Athlon 3000 cpu then I would probably go for 8 GB RAM.

target? they should come strongly in the laptop market. I really love their customer service. Best in the USA along with Costco.

4gb to run Windows 10 is junk. With windows constantly updating, it suck the life out of it faster than you taking a dump. Buy a chromebook with that amount of money instead.

So pop in another 4 or 8gb stick for cheap and stop complaining.

$210 + ram upgrade + tax(optional for some states) + electronic fee in CA(optional for others) = looking around $250 + - $20 range.

You may probably wish to make a NVMe SSD upgrade to replace 128GB?

$220 with ram upgrade regardless of any other fees which apply to everything.

Is this good for VERY basic use just using chrome, word, citrix and zoom?
I wouldn't do it. Walmart had a computer with the same processor a few weeks back, 8gb of ram and a 256gb SSD for $40 more.
DON'T BUY A COMPUTER WITH 4GB OF RAM THAT'S NOT UPGRADEABLE
