I bought this earlier to replace a Wyze pan and tilt. The picture is better but the 15fps compared to Wyze's 20fps in night vision makes the 2k eufy only have a slight difference in low light video. There is noticeable ghosting in low light when people are moving in the Eufy.
But I think the biggest thing I wasnt expecting from the Eufy cams is the encrypted sd card. On the wyze, I could just pop out the sd card and copy the videos onto my pc. On the Eufy, it is not allowed. You have to download the videos from your phone and then connect the phone to your pc. You can only download the captured videos too and only in the increments that are recorded if the camera picks up the movements - even in continuous recording mode. Very time consuming and cumbersome. FYI.

My Eufy 2k cams can connect via RTSP to external NAS stuff. I have not tried pulling down video from the SD card, but it makes sense from a privacy perspective in case someone snatches the SD, they can't see the data on it. Only you can.
+1 on RTSP. I used it to monitor via blue iris. The only headache was the initial config, but it is light years past the old foscam 720p it replaced Smilie

I'd like a security camera monitoring the doorway, but I'm worried about the security aspect. some cameras allow a password for authentication but does not encrypt the video stream. Others has firmware flaws that let attacker change settings by sending malicious commands.

Has anyone successfully set up and block internet access? (Camera would write to a NAS only. Wireless router is configured to only allow traffic to NAS and block internet traffic for the camera)

this needs internet access to function.

Yeah, I'm using this outdoor, under a porch, picture quality is really clear, even better than the 2K eufy doorbell that I have, which costs like 4x this price.
I'd like to use this under a covered porch too. Do you think humidity and frost will affect the camera?

Be aware this pan/tilt camera basically can only tilt up and cannot tilt down. I went with the non-pan/tilt 2k eufy camera solely for this reason as it was a major issue for my use case.

How does this compare to wyze v2 considering that one has starlight sensor?

But the non pan doesn't necessarily solve this issue right? You just went with the non pan version because it didn't pay to shell out more for a version that didn't give you more, right? Or is there something the non pan version offered that this version didn't? (Like wider stationary viewing angle, etc).

Bought this during the release sale and have 0 regrets. Leave it in my living room to watch the dogs, can add an alarm that triggers for zones if you want dogs to avoid a certain area, i use the voice to talk to them if needed. Paired this up with the eufy doorbell and having the one eufy app to view both has been great.

Haven't tested alerts yet for this, but the doorbell alerts have been quick and reasonable for me.

Why does it need to pan an tilt? Do you move it remotely?
I have one and use it to watch my pups. Can be mounted upside down as well. Works fantastic.

The visible red night vision led's are a deal breaker for me. I don't know why they wouldn't use 940/950nm led's. I guess I'll keep my YI cams.

The non-pan/tilt can be manually angled in pretty much any direction. So it can be tilted down, just not using the app.

Depending on your location, you can mount upside down to work around

It has some limitations to adjustment. Ie you can only tilt up/down manuallly when it's facing forward

Is this good as a Granny Cam? I need to set up camera in mother-in-law's assisted living room.
Also, can two separate phone Apps view video at the same time? My wife may not log off, and I may need to access the video.
Thank you.

I saw someone mentioned RSTP to NAS which got my hopes up. To clarify, I am ok with one time "activation" by connecting to internet, but don't want it connected after I have done the initial activation.
