fyi tmobile wont know why your account is labeled as flexpay
Thanks for responding. I am not a flexpay customer though. I have simple choice with 9 lines, SCFUTT6 and have been with tmobile for around 15 yrs.

Thanks. I wonder if I bring in 4 lines. To qualify for 3rd free line. What plan should I choose?
Magenta or higher depending on your need. It includes all taxes and worth it for all the perks you get.

In addition to what others said replying to your questions - you may want to check another thread which might be quite relevant for your case:

https://slickdeals.net/f/14632753-new-t-mobile-customers-4-lines-for-120-mo-400-in-rebate-cards-when-you-port-in-potentially-free-iphones-pixels?page=3#commentsBox

You might be able to get 4 lines for $120, with 2 lines free, and other options that you might be able to stack ($200+$100+free phones).

In terms of plans, Magenta is almost always better than Essentials. Includes taxes, better for promo eligibility. In high tax places Essentials might end up being more expensive than Magenta.

SOC is a code for the plan that you will get with T-Mobile. Magenta SOCs should qualify for most if not all current promos and will have better eligibility for various future T-Mobile deals as compared to Essentials, military, 55+, etc.
Thanks so much for your info, especially the link to another thread.

I guess for once I was too quick to pull the trigger. could have (maybe) gotten 2 lines for free. Oh well, be happy! Smilie

Sure, agree. Is it magenta for $140 with 4 lines?

I have an old phone in my closet. Not sure if it even has a SIM. Would that qualify as a BYOD? Thanks
Should be at least 4G smartphone. Sounds like your phone would not qualify.

Please can someone suggest which permanent number to put in the costco rebate portal. The one which was assigned when we opened the line and which is on the rebate form or the port in number. I am sure this question might have been asked several times but do we have a definitive answer. Thank you in advance !!!!

On TMobile One plan with 4 lines. Eligible for the free line promo so went to Costco to add it which they did. They gave me a new number, filled out the rebate form with that new number, and told me I had to submit the rebate with this number on it.

I told him I planned on porting a number as my permanent number on this line (didn't have the account info with me at Costco so couldn't just have him do it at the same time). He said if I did that, the Costco rebate wouldn't pay out as the number in the account(ported in number) would be different than what is on the form.

Doing the port in to take advantage of the T-Mobile rebate but now thinking I'll just leave as is - would rather get $200 than $100! Or just go back to Costco with the account info to have them to the port and update the rebate form.

Have others here ported in after being assigned a temporary number in the store? And then submitted their rebate with the ported in number without going back to Costco??

its hit or miss whether or not you can find a cell phone rep that will process the add a line for you. i have struck out at 2 costco's now as they refuse to do it via the RSL as they claim they won't get credit

I just got the free line from Costco using an old Iphone and submitted my $200 rebate. So can I now port my dad's number to the new line and get the $100 rebate?

I went to Costco today and asked for the BYOD $200 promotion. The rep in charge at Costco insisted that I won't be eligible for the "add free line" promotion even though I am on T-Mobile one plan. He insisted that it will work only for the Magenta plan. He showed me the promo page that says it is only valid for the magenta plan with at least two paid lines. I had confirmed earlier with a T-Mobile rep that my plan is eligible for free promo. Costco rep says t-mobile reps are wrong. He says my plan will be eligible for free line at t-mobile store but not at Costco. I came back without adding the line.

Anybody who added the line at costco on/after 11/27/20 got the confirmation of the free? My SOC is FRLTUL4LP
Bulljive I just got it done!

I just went to costco to get this deal. Had the following error:
CUSTOMER IS IDENTIFIED AS FLEXPAY PLEASE REFER THEM TO CALL CUSTOMER CARE.
I called customer care and there was a 45 min wait. I didnt want to wait that long so I came back. Did anyone else have this issue? If so, what is the solution?
Thanks
Edit: I have simple choice with 9 lines, SCFUTT6. I dont have a flexpay account. Not sure why it is identifying me as a flexpay customer.
I reported earlier that I had the same issue, this is what you have to do.

Ask your Costco rep to call the customer care and ask them to add a line. After they rep added a line for you , Costco rep will process everything for you. This is what I have done.

This is annoying some of the Costco wireless rep doesn't know about this and won't cooperate to call.

Hope this helps

Yes I have done the same process as you. I was wondering the same as well.
