The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

The free lines can stack, as long as you haven't cancelled any lines within the past 90 days or so...
I was told 1 year. Have 3 free lines and 12 total lines and wanted to cancel one paid for the previous free line and they said if i cancelled within a year the free line goes to paid.

I have some NOOB questions, ive never done a T-mobile deal before:

1. Is this only a Voice line? or does it offer Data as well?
2. Will they charge any activation fees for the line? or any sales taxes per month?
3. Is this be done via chat/call? or strictly online?
1. Varies. I'm on Magenta Plus and I've been able to add data to both my free lines at no cost.
2. No activation if you can sweet talk them or go into a Costco.
3. Last time I did it via call, the time prior, I had to port a number and did it in person at Costco.

Are you saying this stacks with free line? I'm on the military plan with 4 lines, but interested in adding a line and getting a free Pixel 4a 5G

Is 4 lines the maximum allowed?
I believe 12 lines is still the maximum allowed on the military plan (ours has 9 currently.) No idea about the validity or stacking of that promo, though.

I have 3 lines from T-Mobile ONE All-In Promo (FRLTUL2LP) plan and paying $80 including the discounts below
Quote :
$10 AutoPay Discount
$20 Insider Discount
$5 AutoPay Discount (Additional Lines)
$40 This One's on Us (AAL) (Additional Lines)
I wanted a new line and my SOC is always excluded. Seeing this promo is a frequent one at T-Mobile wondering if I should switch to benefit from it. What would be a comparable plan to switch to?

a. Varies by plan. b. Seems to be no limits on # of free lines

Quote from SarhoshAmiral :

If you qualify, just add a line. You can do this online or calling, doesn't matter. The person on the other end will just add the line for you just like you can do yourself.

Yes, if your plan charges fees. Magenta and One plans have no fees and the free line is completely free.
