The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

Is this true? The iPhone I was going to use had previously been associated with a T-Mobile number -- it was upgraded to a newer iPhone.

This! I also was wondering how this would work with Costco. You walk in and ask them to add a new free line to your T-Mobile account and also ask about the $200 add a line promo?

New lines (including the free one tomorrow) get the Pixel 4a 5G for half off, or if you trade in an eligible device free, via 24mo bill credits.
Will this free line stack with future trade-in offers for existing customers?

Wait... Can someone please explain how to actually get this free line? Am I supposed to call T-Mobile? Input a code somewhere? I would greatly appreciate some guidance here...

I believe you can add an additional deposit of $250 for another line of over 12, is this correct?
I believe only business accounts can get more than 12 lines. For consumer accounts I believe another account would have to be created, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Yeah, that's what I mean. So the only phone offer that stacks with this free line is the 4a 5g?

I currently have 8 lines. Will it mess up my account adding the free one?

I'd love to do this at Costco for the $200 gift card, but I'm worried about losing my other promotions. Thinking it may be better to settle for the $100 from T-mobile and have one of their reps add it (if it's even possible with my plan)

$100 rebate would stack with Costco $200 promo?
Quote from ugabuga :
Added 2 free lines earlier this year. Now will add this as my soc is FRLTUL4LP.

Now just need to see about possible stack with Costco

Order:
1. At Costco add a line with bring your own phone
2. T-mobile chat: Request port of new number to the new line and number from Costco
3. Check account for something showing the free line
4. Submit any paperwork

Can I port in Costco? Or I just add a line in Costco and then call T-Mobile to port in my number in order to get the $100 offer?

a few posts above tells you how you can add the line..you can do it yourself online, call a CS, online chat or go to a store.
you can also confirm if your plan is eligible in op's post where you follow the simple directions (need pc) to find out what plan code you are on and if you have any gov discounts.
just be aware not all plans are eligible and some discounts may be taken away to get this promo.
