The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

Bro i got the kickback from all my other 2 free lines..because i dont use them and never reach the 2gb mark so they credit my bill with 10 dollars per line...thats why im wondering if this would still be the same 🤷🏻 ♂️
You don't get additional $10 or credit on free line as other user said. Bill is misleading. If they were giving you credit of $20 for free line and you used more than 2GB, it will just show $20 credit. If you used less than 2GB, it will show up as $10 kickback and $10 credit for free line but in both case you are getting a total of $20. Took me a while to figure that out and had to look at my bills side by side before it hit me.

Pixel 4a 5g seems to be the only free phone....thinking what to do
Yeah, I was planning on trading in my 2xl already before this was posted so it's better free than half off.
I picked up a used iphone 8 to trade in for the free mini for the deal supposedly to go live on BF. But that's contingent if the value is what everyone has been proposing. We'll see, otherwise I'm returning the iphone 8.
Really wished the BOGO's worked for the new line. Oh well.

Hookup 20% is only available on new accounts. But spent a few weeks with Exec care because of Sprint former Customer Curse. . .which wouldn't allow my "sister" to open a TMO account in Sept when they had 20% hookup and back to back free lines (on top of $250 BYOD's). . .in the end they said they couldn't add the free lines because by they time they fixed the glitch and got her TMO account opened she missed out on being able to get a 2nd free line plus hookup. Told them I would just add her lines to my account if they would just throw a hookup on my existing account. . .and be done with the headache for all. . .and it was added to account the next week.
Nice, bravo on making that happen! Every time I read about the 20% insider discount I am a little upset that I didn't get that too... but that's me being greedy.. and I am happy with 6 lines at 120, can't really complain about that I don't think!

I'm not currently a tmobile customer I've been planning on moving over to T-Mobile soon. If I were to go in today signing up for two lines on their Magenta plan where they currently give the 3rd line free would I qualify for another free line tomorrow? Where I'd essentially be getting four lines at the price of two (2 lines paid, 1 free line via 3rd line on us, 1 free line via the 11/25 free line holideal)?
Yes, make sure to use the T-Mobile insider promo as well.

Update - Promo not currently active

what promo is this? Was this 3rd line to the 55+ plan?
The free phone was with bill credits and was for adding a line, and idk why the 3rd line ended up being free. Yes, 3rd line of 55+. Idk how I did that, but I'm not complaining.

Is there an active T-Mobile insider promo that we're all not aware of??

Here's my plan. Go to Costco, explain deal and add line (I know they probably won't know about promotion, but I'll explain anyway). Get $200 gift card for that eventually. Go home and chat with T-mobile to verify line added was free and nothing got screwed up with other lines. Go to T-mobile store and buy S20 FE with a $500 trade in credit from old S7 I have. Net with Costco GC is then $0+tax on phone. Yes, I have to wait to get that "net $0" with the GC and bill credits, but I'm good with that myself, others may not be.
would Costco rep add it for free? or rather do they have the authority to add it for free?

If your plan qualifies, add a line in whatever method you want. If you call in, the reps don't do anything different (like somehow coding the line is free). They just add a line like you can yourself online. And if you do it online, it will seem like you're adding paid line (no mention of it being free anywhere) but it'll be free if your plan qualifies. There is a $10 sim card fee and, if you call or go in store, a $20 assist fee. Some have gotten those waived by nice reps.

Some might prefer to add the line at Costco as it should net you a $200 Costco card.
Better to call and ask rep to waive $20 activation fee and they will... from my experience.

Pretty sure all military plans do not qualify as they are already heavily discounted.
Yes, until we missed out these free lines for the 3rd times lol. Now regular accounts are more cheaper than military accounts. Was hoping we would get at least one something...

you can chat with them today and keep the screenshots or text from the chat, just in case you need it in future. You can ask them if your plan is eligible

yes, as non tmobile customers, we should hold back until Tmobile finally bring them back and we can use both for new account.
