The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

This will be T-Mobile 3rd free line this year?
What are everyone doing with these free lines lol

I use mine for media - streaming music, audiobooks, watching movies, video conferences, Google searches, etc.. - so that I do not tie up my main voice line.
I also keep my free line in an older device to take with me when kayaking or biking - anytime I don't want to risk losing my main device.
I personally like keeping my main number open for calls and texts without interfering with anything else I may want to be doing.
But that's just me...

Port out and then port back in.
You can't port out. You will lose the free line if you try.

After a year of the new line you port out one of your paid lines (do not go below 2) and port it back into the free line.

This happened to me as well..they said the system didn't enabled the "data" so they manually did it. I made sure they note on my account to not charge me for this, just in case. It wasn't a big issue just weird. I couldn't get data to work and found out the system "forgot" to enable it. LMAO
Added the free data, but i got a text message "un-enrolled from t-mobile your promotional service discount" EEK! did you?

Yes but I am just following the logic of the said poster saying "swap paid line for free line" which he/she can't do any time soon.

I do feel that there is inherent difference between offers for Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and Google Pixel 4a 5G, when you consider the apparent value of promotion.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE gives you total credits of $600 (699 - 99) and thus can't be stacked with this Free line promo.

Google Pixel 4a 5G gives you total credits for $250 for Add a line.and $250 for Trade-in. Thus, it is stackable with the Free line promo.

I hope they also let us stack and double dip with the Costco promo. Technically possible, since Costco's rebate processing department might be different from T-mobile's .. Worth a try in my opinion.
If both stack, the total value of promo will be equivalent to Samsung's S20 FE promo value (roughly) .

Boost is not owned by Sprint, they were sold to Dish. I will try tomorrow and report back.
They will not work they are now a T-Mobile mono. So don't use them. Remember dish doesn't have a network build out yet.

I have 12 lines - 9 voice, 1 6GB tablet, and 2 Free 200MB tablet.
I don't know if this will block me from adding a new free voice line, does anyone know?
If so, would it be possible for me to cancel a free 200MB tablet line and then add this one?

My SOC is FRLTUL2LP so looks like I'm not eligible for this.

I'm currently paying for 3 line so my bill is $178, less with 2 of the lines having Kickback for under 2 GB data. Normally the bill is $168 then since there are months where one line does still go over 2 GB. The third line was added last year as a regular line.

Looking at the plans I can go to Magenta for the same amount of money but then I would lose Kickback. What else would I lose (I think HD that is free through a Promo on 2 lines as well as tethering)? Does it even make sense to make such a move? Am I missing anything?

Last week I did a port from Boost to Metro-by Tmobile and I was considered a new customer with free phones, so I guess porting a number from Boost to Tmobile would work.
