The last "free line" wasn't free, and made me lose my grandfathered plan, even though I was promised multiple times it was fine. Proceed with caution.

I'm struggling to figure this out. I can't find the banner the OP posted or any link/text about a free line for existing customers. Some posters talk about "fine print say one year" ... can't find the fine print either.

Your post quotes "apply that credit and promotion". What promotion? Is there a code for this?

I am not easily confused but this one has me sideways. I have been waiting for a chat for 25 minutes with no luck Please help if you can.

Thanks - Bob
If you have a qualified plan, you get a free line today when you add a line online, in store, in app or at Costco..
If you do online or in app, you would see that $20/month when you get to check out. Don't worry cause T-Mobile system will credit you back via monthly bill credit which make the line free.

The s20 fe $99 by adding a line. It's in their holidays page
THIS DOES NOT WORK! Lol this person is gonna have a mess trying to fix their account now. I just had Tampa based customer service rep call me and told me that the $99 promo will not work for the free line. You can instead do the $500 eligible trade-in towards a Samsung FE.

Verified that my super old account was eligible. Had to call and they verified as well, added line and had a sim available, free line is active and ready to go. I did ask if it was voice or data also. Said it's whatever the plan is for free. Done deal, thanks op

On a side note I don't have autopay and they said I didn't need to activate autopay either. Account is like 10 years old
What plan do you have? I have simple choice 4 lines unlimited. Wondering if mine qualifies. Thanka

I see some people not doing the port in at Costco, but, instead would wait until going home and then do the port in and then send the rebates w new number. Wouldn't it be better just to do the port in at Costco along with the new line? Am I missing something? Thanks.
interested in this as well

Assuming my plan is eligible, would I need to do anything to prompt the free line? Or would I just add it as if I planned on paying for it ? Thanks.

I'm no authority but it should work. The $100 from T-Mobile is for add-a-line and port-in. They don't care that the line was added at Costco (and that Costco gave you $200 for adding a line there).
I added a line via Costco and got a new number. I also bought a number to port in for a $100 rebate. When submitting for a rebate, what number do we use? How would Tmobile know the port number?

Worked for me to add a free line onto my account. Don't have a need for it now but figured it was worth adding onto the account. Rep said I'd need to pay $10 for a SIM card to be sent to me. Rep also added on a bill credit for it so it's a wash. Free 3rd line to have and my $80 a month 2 line plan stays the same in price.

Do I porting in my number at the same time when i open a new line in costco in order to get $200 and $100?

I read some says i should porting the line after I get home. In the past, I tried to port in a number into my existing free line but it never work. TMo wont allow me porting into existing free line. Isn't that after i open new line at costco , it becomes my existing line thus i cant port in number into this line that just created today?

Please advise. TIA

Is the line shows free in the account? What did you say to Costco just add a line?

Some one commented earlier that the free line is only good for a year, can anyone confirm this is true?

Submit the rebate using the ported number. Once you port-in, the older number is gone and no longer tied to your account.

The line showed $0 when I logged into my acct. I told Costco that I wanted to add a line with a new number then port in the number afterward online as someone suggested on this thread.
